Yesterday I was laying outside on a bench cause it was so warm and nice and I saw this guy walking towards me..he said "it's a gorgeous day!" and we introduced ourselves. Then he suddenly said "so how long have you known Jesus?" and I was like "uhh..I dunno" and he asked if I was born again and I said yes. He told me there was a church nearby and asked me if I wanted to go with him. I declined by saying I'd be too busy. He wanted me to meet his wife and apparently left to go get her but I didn't want to get involved so I went back to Dana's apartment. A guy I don't even know inviting me to church with him..yeaah not weird or creepy at all..

After Dana got back from her class we had to go to her brother Dylan's apartment cause we needed to print out the tickets..he doesn't have internet so we had to bring the printer back to Dana's apartment. Dylan is nice and funny hehe. We ate dinner at Hard Rock Cafe (woo!). It wasn't busy so we were seated immediately. We got our food fast too. After dinner I got a couple shirts and a pin. Then we drove back to where the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert was held (there was a lot of traffic..eesh)

This was the most seizure inducing TSO concert yet. Their stage lights are AMAZING. Security was not tight at all..they just shined a flashlight in your bag. In Dallas you had to go through metal detectors and if you had a camera they took it away. So for the first time I was able to take pictures!! Yay! It felt odd hearing songs with snow and stuff in San Diego haha. They opened with Night Enchanted (their version of Dies Irae). Wowww. They kept playing boring slow songs during the Christmas part (though I LOVE An Angel Returned). Even though they played the same songs I think they changed it up..they're such a creative band. They do stuff with stage lights and fire I didn't even know you could do. And the two violinists switched their stick..things by tossing them to each other and catching them! Woww..I wonder how much practice that took. They played some songs from their new album during the second half. They played their version of In the Hall of the Mountain King by Edvard Grieg..I LOVEE that song. Their stage lights moved SO fast. They got political with some songs too..the screens were flashing images of Obama and the news and stuff. I like the girl who sings Queen of the Winter Night better with the group that comes to Dallas. I think they ended with Wizards in Winter. They win for their creativity haha. After the concert we hung out with Dylan and Phil (Dana's fiance) a little..she drove Dylan home and then we went to bed

So yesterday I left Fairbanks for Anchorage at 9 something. I had a row all to myself! The sunrise was lighting the sky and I was able to take pictures. I saw the Chena and Tanana Rivers!! I could see a little of the mountains of the Alaska Range but then it got too cloudy to see any others except for one lone mountain poking above the clouds (probably Mt. McKinley). After we passed the mountains it became less cloudy. I saw some very twisty rivers haha. We flew over Cook Inlet as we descended into Anchorage. I had to wait about an hour in Anchorage. It was somewhat clear but as time went on the clouds came over the mountains and it was snowing after I boarded for Seattle. We waited like..20 minutes or so before we finally took off. Jeez haha

After it snowed it started clearing off again. I saw some of the Chugach Mountains through the clouds and the Turnagain Arm road I took to get to the Kenai Peninsula (Whittier and Seward). The brown of Cook Inlet turned into blue. I saw mountains in the distance and thought they looked like the Wrangell Mountains. The guy sitting next to me confirmed it. I probably saw some glaciers on those mountains. Through the clouds I thought I saw a little of Malaspina Glacier..it has REALLY distinct moraines and what I saw looked like its moraines. Then I looked in the water and saw little white dots that I thought could be icebergs. Then I looked up..and about died of happiness. It was cloudy and rather hard to tell but it looked like there was a huge glacier with a medial moraine. I looked at a picture and it showed Malaspina and Hubbard glaciers relatively close together. So maybe it was Hubbard Glacier..and the white dots were possibly icebergs from it..I can't be sure though since it was so cloudy (I should have taken binoculars :P). Then it became so cloudy I couldn't see anything so I read and still looked out to see if there was a break in the clouds. Then I looked up and suddenly I could see again! I think we were flying over the Inside Passage or Canada..it looked like a bunch of fjords so I dubbed it Fjordland haha. It looked like a pretty easy place to get lost in. :P I definitely saw some glaciers around there (small though). There could have been glaciers covering the tops of the mountains too. We flew over a bunch of islands with little towns on them. We also flew over Vancouver (you were right [livejournal.com profile] judeaslinksta! Hehe) and into the Seattle area. It was SUNNY and totally clear! In SEATTLE. It was amazingggg. We flew over Puget Sound, downtown, etc. Then I saw a huge mountain looming before me..it was Mt. Rainier!! Wooo! There was another mountain near it but I forgot what it was called. The sunset was GORGEOUS..deep orange. Wowww

Yesterday I bought Sonata Arctica's New CD "The Days of Grays" and pre-ordered Trans-Siberian Orchestra's new CD..yay hehe

Umm..what happened to the friends/communities links..? Edit: Nevermind, they're back :P

Karla and Sean came to my house around 1..after talking to dad some we left, stopped at Sonic again, then drove to the American Airlines Center. We had seats at the VERY top..of course Karla is afraid of heights :P The concert started 20-25 minutes or so later..they didn't open with Wizards in Winter!! Though an advantage to the top was I didn't even need earplugs haha. They added more lights to the side, these effect thingies, and lights in the stage. They sure loved their pyrotechnics this time too..they even had FIREWORKS haha. This guy from..Queen or something sang too. One of the guys said "wanna see what happens when we turn all our lights on?" and I'm like "OMG YES" haha. After the concert we drove back to my house and hung out there for awhile. Karla said her birthday is gonna be at Medieval Times and Sean said I could come (I've NEVER been! Haha). They also said Nightwish is coming back here in March..maybe we'll even go to Scarborough Faire? They're not coming back to school this semester..aww

Heather uploaded a song in her LJ called One Winged Angel from the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children soundtrack..I've never played any of them but I downloaded it and it was AWESOME! Electric guitars, EPIC Latin chanting..*dies* The Latin is from Carmina Burana! Why can't there be more of those songs in the world haha? *squeals*

Tomorrow I'm seeing Trans-Siberian Orchestra with Karla and Sean!

Don't let my dad go off on a tangent..he'll talk your ear off..this time it was TWO HOURS. It was important but still..would you want someone raising their voice at your for two hours? If I don't get at least c's in my classes he won't send me back to the school. No pressure huh?

Karla and her boyfriend are gonna work out buying tickets for Trans-Siberian Orchestra with me..I don't have enough money for all three of us (I need $100 in my account). She paid for Nightwish so surely I should pay something this time..

At the TSO concert I got two shirts (now i have four TSO shirts haha). One has a castle..the towers look a lot like Carcassonne's...the other has a white guitar in front of a red wall. Sweet...at school a teacher also went to the concert and I talked to her about it...it was awesome haha

The TSO concert yesterday was amazing!! They opened with Wizards in Winter...of course they had their awesome lights too...I wanna know how they do that haha. They played other songs like First Snow, Christmas Eve Sarajevo, and An Angel Returned. OMG I'm in love with the guy's voice who sang An Angel Returned. It was SOOO beautiful!!! They did one part of the song first and the other part later. "Kyrie among nations, hear the bells ring through the night" is now my favorite quote. THAT PART WAS SO AWESOME AND BEAUTIFUL!! I just had to sing along! I didn't like a lot of the singers though...their voices were rhaspy and jazzy...there was a part that was SO BORING. I think I liked the second part of the show more than the first haha. There was a song that seemed familiar but I dunno where I've heard it from. Then the announcer guy said "the next song dates back to the 6th century and is in Latin...I don't understand any of it...this is Carmina Burana!" OMG I about died!!! THEY PLAYED O FORTUNA!!!!!! OMG IT'S THE MOST EPIC THING I'VE EVER HEARD!!!!! It was sooo amazing!! They way the singers sang it...maaan. Requiem the Fifth was awesome too...the people singing sounded kinda weird though. Ohh and Flight of the Bumblebee...I admire their speedy talent haha. Of course they had sweet pyrotechnics...some changed colors haha! OMG and Queen of the Winter Night...the singer went to a platform where I could see her much better...OMG it must take some serious training to do what she did with her voice!! Her end note was sooo high! Near the end the pianists had a duel...the guy did this AWESOME epic organ piece and the woman played seriously fast...she has some fast hands haha. It was a really awesome concert..

I'm gonna see TSO today!!! I hope it's awesome like last year!

I opened Kathryn's present yesterday...she got me a shirt that says "rock and roll never dies" and it has a crown on it (definitely wearing it to school Monday). She also sent me a small cannon and an epic gargoyle pen she got at The Tower of London (I love that place). I'm gonna bring the pen to school too. Thanks Kathryn *thumbs up*

Yesterday Ryan, mom and I went and saw Little Miss Sunshine...I had never heard of it before but Ryan wanted to see it. It was entertaining but...disturbing at times. The f-word was said way too many times. It kinda didn't have a point either. I also bought three CDs...music by Grieg (a classical composer), the music to Carmina Burana and Vovin by Therion. My compter let me copy only 4 songs by Greig (*glares*)...they were good though. The Therion CD is AWESOME!!! It's epic and dark and operatic *droools* I LOVE The Wild Hunt, The Rise of Sodom and Gomorrah, and Black Sun/Draconian Theory. I've only listened to like two songs from Carmina Burana...I've seen the opera but don't really remember much of the music (besides O Fortuna). I also got this awesome black shirt with a serpent/dragon on it and the sleeves are soooo awesome and epic! I got a black leather jacket too...IT'S SO METAAAAL!! \m/._.\m/

Trans-Siberian Orchestra is coming to Dallas on December 16!! Mom says we can go...yaaaay!! I wonder if they'll have more lights than last year...

Today's Latin: otium sine litteris mors est (leisure without literature is death)

I listened to the Saxon CD I got yesterday. OMG they are sooo awesome!! The guitars are so heavy and awesome! The singer is really good too. I'm not sure if I could pick a favorite song...probably Lionheart for the lyrics *is getting more Saxon albums in the future*

This Sunday mom and Ryan and I are going to hang out with our friends Julie and Madison...we used to do Indian Guides together and we've known each other for kinda a long time...I got really close to them also. We haven't seen each other in awhile and I can't wait to see them again!

I need to put my Europe pics in my photo album...

I really want those glove thingies Frank wears when he plays...they're so awesome and epic. I'm weird haha ;)

Not a soul has IMed me since Kathryn left (5 days ago). *raises flag of lonliness and flies it over my house* Huzzah!

Last night I drempt I was at this place where my friends and other people were taking driving lessons and I wasn't but I wanted to...then after I saw the stuff they had to do I decided I didn't wanna anymore

Edit: Is Christmas Eve Sarajevo TSO's version of Carol of the Bells?

Sorry for my harsh words yesterday friend...I shouldn't write entries when I'm mad...ooooh but guess what peoples?! I'M GOING TO SEE NARNIA AT 1!!!!! Now the commercials and all won't torture me anymore! I'm also gonna but a CD (or maybe more)...but the only money I have is a $100 bill...the cash register guy would look at me like I'm insane or something...I want Epica by Kamelot and Vain Glory Opera by Edguy...are they good? I've never heard them before. Any other CD's you'd reccomend?

I watched my TSO DVD yesterday...it's really good! It was amusing actually watching the guitarists up close. And Micheal Crawford sang on one song...he held this note for like a minute...he did that on the POTO CD too...MC is why Kathryn sings...powerful man ;)

Tomorrow's the first day of 2006...*has to get used to writing dates '06'*

Last night I had the worst mental breakdown ever...seriously...I've never felt so bad...about myself...about life. I felt it coming the past few days. It just needed one more thing which happened last night it make it happen. I talked to my mom for a loooong time and I felt kinda better...man I don't want that to ever happen again. Why have I been so depressed lately?! My dreams were even about last night...

I listened to all my CDs yesterday...they're really good! Well except for Rage of the Winter on Holy Thunderforce...what the heck?? I loved the song Anno Domine from a TSO CD...my fave Queen songs are Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites the Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Flash (omg my sci fi class last year was obsessed with that song), We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, I Want to Break Free, Breakthru, Hammer to Fall, The Show Must Go On...I didn't think I ever heard Hammer to Fall till I heard the song and I'm like "OMG that's in Highlander!!" They didn't put it on A Kind of Magic though. And does Bohemian Rhapsody remind anyone besides me of Italy??

And now here's some Christmas pics...I wasn't feeling photogenic and my mom took too many pics...in one though you can see me gesticulating! *is too easily amused* And I dunno why the pics are so big...I resized them...*glares at...something*

Edit: I'M GOING TO SEE NARNIA TONIGHT!!!!!!

weeee are the champions...of the wooorld! )

Ok wow where to begin...amazingly majorly awesome doesn't describe how good the TSO concert was. The lights were really really awesome and intricate! I shoulda brought sunglasses since it was so bright. And the pyrotechnics! They turned different colors!! And it was very loud (can you tell this is my first concert ever?). They opened with Wizards in Winter (my fave TSO song)...I woulda headbanged but I was still in shock. I headbanged later though and it was sooo fun and I think I scared my brother. The guitarists were insanely awesome!!! And one of the violinists was shredding on her violin! The first half of the show was Christmas songs and the other was majorly rock out songs. They played songs like Farandole, Wish Liszt (Toy Shop Madness) (oh man the guitars RULE on this song...I was watching the guitarists play and I'm like...how do you do that??), Christmas Eve in Sarajevo (that got stuck in my head), Requiem the Fifth (I think I headbanged most on this song), Flight of the Bumblebee (oh man that was sooo fast and the guitarists...man!! They're like a bunch of Luca's!!), and....O FORTUNA!!! I freaked! Oh man it was soooo epic! O Fortuna metal style: RULES. I didn't think anyone would headbang but they did! One of the guitarists walked to each person on stage and had "headbanging contests" with them! It was so amusing! He walked up to one of the the keyboardists and she headbanged too while still playing keyboard perfectly! I'd mess up majorly. The insane shedding violinist and the headbanging guitarist were both raised on a platform never stopping in playing their instruments...I was kinda far from the stage and it was cool actually seeing them up close. There were like 30,000 people in this place too...I had never been there (the American Airlines Center) and I walked in and I was like...OMG huge!! I got a shirt and a book thingy showing pics of them. I'm sooo going to see them next year...

I had a dream last night I went to this hotel thingy...I don't remember why...either it was for vacation or cause Nick was there. Well one day there were these people in the doorway of his room and they said Nick shot himself 17 times (I really dunno why I remember that cause I don't usually remember things like that) cause he had a problem. I went to see Nick and he was sitting on his bed looking like he wasn't shot at all. I looked at his face and he looked nothing like Nick. I think I said that cause then he showed of pic of him with reaaaally frizzy orange hair that didn't look like him either. I'm thinking 'holy cannoli what happened to Nick's face?!' The he left or the dream changed...I was in Latin class and we were gonna listen to music so I gave him Dawn of Victory and he put it in the radio and hooked it up with the TV. It started playing I think Mighty Ride of the Firelord or Triumph For my Magic Steel. I reaaly really wanted it to play Dawn of Victory so I changed it and it started playing Christmas songs. Then the dream switched and Caitlin and I were running to my old school's courtyard. I opened the door and the floor was padded and I started jumping on it and Caitlin said 'you've never been in the courtyard before?' and I said I had and we ran more and the courtyard looked as it usually does and I was sooo hyper and happy. Then we got to a wall and watched other people coming out of the courtyard. Weird dream man...

well here's what the courtyard really looks like... )

OMG TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA CONCERT LATER!!!!! *headbangs majorly* I sooooo can't wait...

Yesterday the cats were taken to the vet...Pumpkin and Snowy meowed the whole way and Cheetah a few times. It was like a chorus with different octaves! Mom said they were singing Christmas carols to us. They were good at the vet...he said they were very beautiful and healthy. Yay! They sang to us on the way home too. Then Ryan went to get his hair cut...majorly. It looks sooo different now. It was at that same old barber shop place...they had coloring books and I colored a pic with a king and I put 'King Luca' on the top. Then we went to the post office...I mailed David's card and Kathryn's present. Then we went to eat at this place (forgot the name) and the food was very good. We went to other unimportant places and I found out Ryan and mom's piano recital is the same day of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. We can do both cause the recital is at 1 and the concert is at 3...eeek tight schedule...

Today feels like I should be in school...
