Don't let my dad go off on a tangent..he'll talk your ear off..this time it was TWO HOURS. It was important but still..would you want someone raising their voice at your for two hours? If I don't get at least c's in my classes he won't send me back to the school. No pressure huh?

Karla and her boyfriend are gonna work out buying tickets for Trans-Siberian Orchestra with me..I don't have enough money for all three of us (I need $100 in my account). She paid for Nightwish so surely I should pay something this time..

Your dad just cares about your education and future, I'd think you should do the same.

Even if you can't go it's not like that'd be the end of the world...you've gone twice so far.

OMG...two hours?? That does seem kind of...overly long. I think you'd get the point in shorter time than that...

Aw that was nice of her to pay for Nightwish. I'm sure you can figure something out. Maybe you can just give her the money for your ticket so she can buy the three of them, if she has enough money for all of you? I'm sure if you tell her that you just don't have the money for more than yours, she would understand...maybe you guys can go out for dinner beforehand or something, and you can treat them to dinner. Okay, my ideas are rambling now haha.

Picking an arbitrary grade to receive on tests and promising consequences for not attaining it is a very bad way to set a goal, in my opinion. However, simply getting a degree is not enough these days. You have to distinguish yourself. Hence, you need to earn a decent grade in at least some of your subjects. Tertiary education is not like secondary or even primary, where you are there because you are not given a choice. You have to justify being in a tertiary education course.
