I probably haven't seen a lot of these (or like one episode), but I love lists like this, so I'll do it anyway :P

+ Bold all of the following TV shows of which you've seen 3 or more episodes.
+ Italicize a show if you're positive you've seen every episode.
+ Asterisk if you have at least one full season on tape or DVD
+ Exclamation mark if it's an all-time fave.
+ Add up to 3 more shows that are not on here.

24
The 4400
Abbot Elementary
A League of Their Own
The A-Team
The Addams Family
The Adventures of Pete and Pete
Agent Carter (! I watched it again a few months ago I think and one of the characters had a four-poster bed!! Don't remember that from before haha)
America’s Next Top Model
The Americans
Angel

The Andy Griffith Show
Arcane: League of Legends
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Avatar: Legend of Korra
Arthur
the rest )

Earlier this week I found a book I might be interested in, and when I started flipping through it I saw "fussbudget," a word from the Biz Bee last week!! I don't remember ever seeing it before, and just right after the Biz Bee?? That's crazy haha, what are the chances?

On Tuesday before book club, mom and I went to a Chinese restaurant, which was closed on Tuesdays (huh??), another that had closed for the day, and just went to the Mexican restaurant across the street. I wanted ice cream after, so we went to Sonic, but they were out of ice cream. Mom was like "uh ok, there's nothing here I want then" and I said "don't be rude!" We then went to another place and the guys said they stopped making ice cream. I was like "...but this is an ice cream shop!" Mom and I were dying of laughter when we got outside..she was like "you literally did what you just told me not to do!" We went to Cold Stone (mom joked they were probably out of ice cream too, and I'd just have to get a bowl of sprinkles LOL)..it took like 30 minutes and were late for book club, but at least we had an amusing story to tell :P

It's been sooo nice out this week..not looking forward to the birch pollen though D:

20. How Much Control Do You Think You Have Over Your Fate? Some, you do have some control over your decisions, anyway..

21. How Do You Try to Reduce Your Impact on the Environment? Not litter..I should probably do more :/

22. How Do You Celebrate Earth Day? I don't really

23. Did Your School Have A Dress Code? Are School Dress Codes a Good Idea? Yeah. To an extent..banning band shirts seemed ridiculous though :/

24. What Have Your Parents Taught You About Money? *shrugs* General stuff??

25. Are You a Good Driver? I don't drive, and I don't think I can, because when I get surprised, I freeze and can't react for a few seconds (sometimes I can't speak at all, like when I saw a bear charging at mom's car), which could mean the difference between accident or not. It just seems scary anyway haha

AGE - 34
BED SIZE - I think it's a full, and of course it has the posts that connect to form a square on top (I love talking about my bed LOL, it gives me a "butterflies" feeling :P)
CAT NAME - Abby
DOG NAME - I don't have a dog
EYE COLOUR - Blue
FAVOURITE COLOUR - Blue, purple
DO GHOSTS EXIST - I've seen one, so yes lol
HEIGHT - 5'1
INSTRUMENTS PLAYED - Random ones in school like the recorder, and I've taken piano and guitar lessons, which didn't last very long (I liked the sticker at the end more than the actual lessons LOL)
JEALOUS TYPE - Sure, especially of people who have been to Antarctica :P
KIDS - None
LONGEST RELATIONSHIP - I've never really been in one
MOOD RIGHT NOW - Fine, enjoying relaxing after work ans eating Chex Mix haha
NIGHT OWL - Definitely, it's not uncommon for me to stay up past midnight, even on a work night. I've always been that way, though when I was a kid I had to go to bed earlier, which I didn't like. Mom, grandma and Ryan are the same way, so it's in our genes :P
OVERNIGHT STAYS IN HOSPITAL - When I was born probably, and I *think* I stayed overnight when I had eye surgery as a kid
PET PEEVE - Unnecessary rudeness, popping/smacking your gum loudly, etc
ANNOYING QUESTION - I've never really liked "how are you?" for some reason..maybe it feels like an invasion of privacy or something..
RIGHT OR LEFT HANDED - Depends on what I'm doing..I write with my right hand, but use my left when I'm using a knife, and I put shampoo/conditioner in my left hand too
SIBLINGS - 1 brother, 2 half sisters who I haven't seen in like 14 or 15 years
FAVOURITE TV SHOW - Game of Thrones before it got terrible, Sherlock, Agent Carter, etc
FAVOURITE UNCLE - Maybe Jack or Carl, though Jack can be WAY too outgoing for me, especially when he drinks. He can be pretty funny though!
VACATION PLANS - I don't have any right now, but mom's going to Kansas this week to help grandma move to a new care home (but..the fancy curtains!! :( I'll miss them LOL. I told mom a priority was to take pictures of the ones in the new place haha). Hopefully she'll like this care home better than the one she's in now
FELLOW TRAVELLER - Mom, Ryan, Jo
XBOX OR NINTENDO 64 - Nintendo 64, though the awful graphics (that I thought were so cool as a kid!) make me crazy haha. Last time I played a Mario Party game on it the characters moved so slooow across the board. It's still nostalgic though!
YUMMY FOOD - Popcorn, paneer tikka masala, milkshakes, chicken parmesan, etc
FAVOURITE ANIMAL AT THE ZOO - I haven't been to a zoo in a long time, but maybe the penguins or big cats

We're having an AWESOME Chinook today, it's 40 degrees right now!! When I got up I was surprised to see it was in the 30s, but when I walked outside and felt the wind I was like "ahhh, Chinook!" And to think just a couple weeks ago it was -40!

Four places I have worked:
1. When I was a kid, sometimes I took care of people's pets while they were away, if that counts lol
2. Forget-Me-Not Books. Work went by SO FAST today!! It was pretty busy! Someone bought a lot of mystery books this weekend, and put quite a bit back on the shelves..satisfying! I'm so glad I'm enjoying it again (I found five books today that
I wanted though..so dangerous working there :P)
3.
4.

Four things I love to watch on TV/Netflix:
1. Here Come the Brides..I discovered it when looking for movies/TV shows with characters who stutter (still fascinating to me for some reason. I've come across some weird movies, like The Passion of Darkly Noon. O_o It had Viggo Mortensen in it though, which is always a plus LOL). Jeremy (played by Bobby Sherman) is a main character who stutters (mostly in the first season, he was helped by a snake-oil salesman in the first season, and only stutters in the second season when he's nervous or unsure or something). He's shy and caring and just a great guy (Bobby Sherman himself seems like a great guy! Not bad looking either LOL). The show can be cheesy, but it's entertaining. Everyone I ask who grew up in that era (late 60s) gets really happy when I ask them if they know who Bobby Sherman is LOL (even my mom, and she doesn't care about celebrities!). Too bad there's only two seasons :(
2. Stranger Things
3. Bones (though I haven't seen it in a long time)
4. Agent Carter

Four places I have visited:
1. Carcassonne, France
2. Galveston, Texas
3. Wheathampstead, England
4. Watertown, Wisconsin

Four things I love to eat:
1. Popcorn
2. Cake with lots of frosting
3. Strawberry smoothies/milkshakes
4. Paneer masala

Four places I’ve lived:
1. Claremont, California
2. Flower Mound, Texas
3. Fairbanks, Alaska (Goldstream, outside of town)
4. Fairbanks, Alaska (downtown)

Four favorite drinks:
1. Strawberry smoothies/milkshakes
2. Lemonade
3. Vitamin Water
4. Apple juice

Each time I use the CPAP it seems to get a little better..I still feel tired, but maybe that'll go away in time..

Yay it's Cherry's birthday!! *throws confetti* It's also the 100 year anniversary of The Worst Journey in the World's publication! (Well, it will be in December, anyway. :P) That's so cool! I wonder how many other lives it has changed..

It's back to work tomorrow! That was a pretty crazy holiday break lol. I love hanging out with mom and Jo and Ryan, but I was still happy to go back to my own place. I need my alone time too :P

YAY no more Orange Guy in office!! It's nice having someone sane take over LOL. I wonder what it's like sitting at the Resolute Desk for the first time? I'd be squeeing, knowing its history. :P I wish Biden would take those yellow drapes down though, they're so ugly!

Almost two weeks since surgery, and I'm doing well! I visited work yesterday and went to dinner with mom, and didn't get sore like last week! I hope my doctor says I can return to work soon, they miss me and I miss them! Healing right must come first though :P

Reply here and I'll give you 3 subjects I don't think you know or care much about. Then you talk about those subjects in your journal. It's interesting to see who knows what about what?

From [personal profile] monkiainen:

1. Star Trek: I have never liked Star Trek lol, I've always thought it was dumb for some reason. I was always like "meh" when I tried to watch it. :P To me, Star Wars is way better lol

2. Gardening: They're nice to look at, but way too much work for me. It is nice to have fresh food to eat though! Mom usually plants one, but she's too busy this year. I love how huge all the plants get in the Midnight Sun haha

3. Knitting: It can be nice to look at too, but I don't have the talent, patience or desire to knit lol. I do love the qiviut scarf mom made me (the underhair of a muskox, which is super warm), it definitely helps in the winter!

It was mom's birthday yesterday and I asked how it felt to be another year older, and she was like "huh, I only feel a day older!" LOL, best answer ever :P

Amazing. Of course it's song # 16 on the soundtrack :P

more! )

Tomorrow mom and I fly to Juneau, yay! Hopefully we'll bring sunny weather with us lol. I'll celebrate my birthday on the trip too! It shall be fun lol

Yesterday mom and I watched Chernobyl..wow. Very well done, but BRUTAL..especially when they had to kill the radioactive animals :( ("they're pets, they'll come right to you" broke my heart :(). I read that it's 99% accurate..people from Russia couldn't believe how accurate it was. The whole time I kept thinking "I can't believe all of this ACTUALLY HAPPENED!" The place won't be habitable for 10,000 years!! That's crazy. I liked that the guy who played Captain Crozier in The Terror was in it! After watching this, I can't believe there are still functioning nuclear reactors out there, that is TERRIFYING D: D:

7. Morgan Adams (Cutthroat Island)

Next week mom and I are going to Juneau! Mom has friends there, and of course there's Mendenhall Glacier (our bed and breakfast is like five minutes from the glacier :D)..I wonder how much it's changed since I saw it last (2014?). We'll stay there a few days, then go to Anchorage for a couple days..there's going to be an exhibit about the Franklin Expedition at the museum there, and on the opening day there's going to be a special showing..can't miss that!! Of course we'll have to go to Title Wave Books, and find some geocaches lol. Should be fun!!
