Last night I finally had the in-house sleep study done!

Getting ready! There were so many things to hook on to me that it took like 45 minutes just to get ready haha (I got there around 10)

So many wires!! After the assistant hooked everything up she had me lay down in bed and she checked on her computer if everything was working properly, which it was. She showed me the call button in case I needed anything (like to use the bathroom), then left me for the night. You don't have to go to sleep right away, so I read a little before turning out the lights (there's also a TV if you want to do that too). I didn't really sleep the greatest (I was too wired. ;) Haha), but hopefully they got good enough data. She woke me up around 6, unhooked everything from me, and said I could go whenever I was ready. I called mom and because she lives SUPER close to the Sleep Center, she was there in a few minutes. We both went back to sleep when we got back to her house LOL, mornings are not our thing. :P The assistant said I should get the results back within a week..so happy I finally got that done lol

I've been working three hours the days I've been at work this week, and while it's more tiring, I definitely get a LOT more done. There are so many boxes and stuff it doesn't look like I did anything though LOL. Denise is just thankful for whatever I get done, it's less stress and work for her..it's nice to be valued. :P I'm also staying the night at my apartment..making slow steps in getting my life back, at least!

Oh no, the Castner Glacier ice arch collapsed on Sunday, blocking the entrance to the cave! So sad! The people hiking around the arch were very lucky not to get caught in it! Because you have to pay to read the article on the News-Miner site, here is is )

17 – Eat Your Vegetables Day: Do you love veggies? Do you have favourites? Do you have a favourite veggie recipe -- either main meal or side dish? Will you share it? They're alright..zucchini is pretty good, and green beans and broccoli aren't too bad either. They're good as a side dish with butter!

18 – International Panic Day: Contrary to what it sounds like, this is a day dedicated to reducing panic and stress in your daily life, not celebrating it! How to you go about reducing the stresses, anxiety and yes, panic, in your life? Taking Clonazepam and Prozac haha (it might be starting to help now, hopefully!!), talking to mom or my counselor, etc

19 – Watch Day: Do you still wear a watch (assuming you ever did wear one)? Is it just a regular time telling watch, or is a smartwatch or fitness/health device that also tells you the time? Yeah, just a regular watch..I don't need my watch to be that fancy haha

20 – World Productivity Day: What did you do today (or are you planning to do) that was particularly productive? Mom and I went to the store and then found three geocaches!

21 – World Music Day: How important is music in your life? Do you play any musical instruments, or are you part of a choir or other vocal group? Have you ever been in a band (rock or school or other)? I love music, it can be calming, energizing, nostalgic..it kinda makes driving less tedious too. No and no, but I was in choir for a little bit in elementary school, even though I'm terrible at singing LOL

Well, tomorrow is my hysterectomy..it's at 6:30 AM, UGHH (when I told mom, she was like "but that's the middle of the night!" LOL). Oh well, I'm nervous but ready..my body decided to have one last period, a particularly heavy and painful one, like it wants to punish me before getting rid of it haha. I had a covid test a couple days ago (not as bad as I thought it would be, since I could do it myself)..the nurse said the results aren't back today, but no news is good news with covid tests, she said. I'll have to take a shower tonight and tomorrow with this special soap, and not eat anything after midnight (easy, I'll be in bed :P). One of my coworkers said she had the same doctor (Jennifer) for her hysterectomy, and she was so great that my coworker felt much better in three days! I'm definitely always impressed when I see the care in Jennifer's eyes..I wouldn't want anyone else doing the surgery. I won't be able to life anything over 10 pounds..aww, I won't be able to pick up Abby or Greyboy lol. Elias (Mike's son) gave me a little stuffed Tigger so I could "bounce back" from surgery..LOL awesome. :P Elias is so thoughtful. <3 I will update next when I can!

Wow yesterday was crazy..I honestly expected *something* to happen, but not like THAT..those people should be ashamed of themselves!! It felt like I was watching a dystopian movie. Orange Guy needs to go to jail for the rest of his life. I watched the live feed of the certification after the Senators reconvened, which I'd never done before..I'm glad that a lot of the Senators who were going to protest changed their mind after that afternoon of violence (I really liked the Senator from Nebraska, he was really funny!). I'm glad Biden was certified, but worry there might be more violence on Election Day..those thugs will NOT tear us down though. Orange Guy finally conceded today..him saying "I'm not a good loser" was a bit of an understatement. O_o I hope our country will be able to heal..

Hello from California! Yesterday our flight to Anchorage left at 8, so we had to get up at 5 something..ugh. At least we were rewarded with awesome views of Denali, Mt. Foraker and some glaciers! All three of our flights were under three hours because of an awesome tailwind! I watched How to Train Your Dragon (HOW had I never watched it till now?! That movie is amazing! Toothless the dragon reminded me of a cat LOL) and a lot of How to Train Your Dragon 2 (must finish it on the flight back!!). I saw some cool mountains and glaciers flying out of Anchorage, but then on my side it got cloudy! I looked over at the other side and it looked clear for miles! When the clouds did clear, my side was just ocean..it's a good thing I've seen the glaciers on that side before, but I'm always sad to miss them anyway. :P We flew in to John Wayne Airport in Orange County, which I hadn't been to in YEARS. Everything looked so green flying in!! That always amazes me after a long Alaska winter lol. We got our rental car and drove to the hotel in Costa Mesa, which is pretty close to the airport. It was nice to relax, I was SO tired lol..getting up so early makes me feel awful the whole day :P

Today we had breakfast and geocached our way to nearby Newport Beach lol (really stressful when you're not used to lots of traffic and don't know the area!). I think we found 5 or 6. I don't remember ever going to Newport Beach before (as a kid I mostly went to Redondo or Hermosa). It was pretty nice. We got some yummy food (I'm pretty sure California is more expensive than Alaska, wow D:) and walked on the piers and fed some pigeons..poor things must have a rough life, some of them had deformed feet and one had fishing wire wrapped around its feet and maybe part of its wing..OMG so sad. :( :( :( I tried catching it, but it was still too fast for me. :( That probably happens often, sadly, judging by their feet. Poor things. :( After that we relaxed at the hotel and then Aunt Susan met us for dinner..weirdly, she works at Newport Beach! (She lives near Torrance, 37 miles away.) It was nice to see her again! We ate at a Mexican restaurant, where they make guacamole right in front of you! I don't usually like guacamole, but this looked too yummy not to try. It was indeed really good! Fairbanks guacamole is sad LOL. We talked for a couple hours about dad's health and stuff, and then Susan drove us back to the hotel. Nice seeing her again!

Tomorrow is Scott's game, woohoo! I hope they do well lol

Today is the last day of vacation..tomorrow we head home. This vacation was great, but I'm definitely ready to go home haha (though the government shutdown is scary D:). I can't wait to see Abby and work at the bookstore again and stuff. The journey back sounds exhausting though..the flight to Chicago leaves at 7:45 AM (ughh). We go from London to Chicago, Chicago to Seattle, Seattle to Fairbanks..I'm gonna be so tired when I get home haha. It'll feel like going back in time too :P

Today grandpa, mom and I went to the buffalo farm! Yayy..it's always nice seeing Jacque and Gene hehe. It seems like they never age!! They always look the same when I visit them. :P Plus that place is one of my favorite places in the world..it just has a nice atmosphere and I have great memories from there (like in 2003 when there was a huge family reunion). Jacque's daughter Judy came over and we had buffalo burgers for lunch (what else? Hehe). It's always nice seeing Judy too. We also went into Watertown to a thrift shop and got ice cream at Mulligan's. Judy picked her son Scott up from school and they came over too. OMG..Scott is SUPER tall..he's almost 7'!! I felt like a midget next to him haha (my pictures are amazing :P). He even makes tall people look short! I asked him if he was still growing (he's 15) and he said "hopefully!" Haha! Everyone in that family is tall, but he's the tallest (they all play volleyball too). I wish I could have seen Debbie, but she had to work (for new people, all these people are my cousins). After that we went back to the farm to say goodbye. I always feel so sad leaving there..that place has a huge effect on me I guess. Now we're doing laundry and relaxing at Ron and Teresa's house

Tomorrow we leave for London to visit grandma and Jack! We have to LEAVE at 4 AM..ughhhhh. The flight leaves at 9 something but we have to drive to the airport, drop the car off and I think you have to arrive three hours early for international flights. Blech..painful. The 8 hour flight sounds painful too..guess I'll be watching a lot of movies :P

Dad and I are planning to leave for Alaska on Wednesday..he was thinking about leaving at 11 something but it's supposed to storm..soo I guess we're gonna go on the 6:45 flight. Oh yay for getting up at 4 or 5 AM! *dies* Dad's gonna ship my computer sometime tomorrow. I still have to pack :P And I'm gonna go from 70s and 80s to 30s and snowing! Dang haha

Today's stupidest quote: Just remember, men can see much better than they can think. A low-cut neckline does more for a girl's future than the entire Britannica encyclopedia! (advice in the movie Peyton Place)

THE BATTLE IS THE BEST SONG EVER! It's the battle song (duh) from Narnia...OMG it ruuuules!! And it's 7 minutes long! I live for that kinda music man...I really really really need to see Narnia again!! *is obsessed*

Wendy is so awesome...of the people that sit at our table at lunch she said she'd rather talk to me out of all of them...whoa *blushes*...she also said Luca is the shinest thing in the world! YOU RULE WENDY!!

I have Latin club competition...I have to get up at around 6:00 cause we have to be at Marcus High School at 7 and then drive to the place...ugh WHY?! You know I can stay up till 2 AM no problem but I am definitely NOT a morning person...hehe I could listen to The Battle ;)

Today's Latin: Nolite reficere quod non fractum est (if it ain't broke, don't fix it). *Texan accent* Yeaaah y'all...
