1. Have you ever stayed in a hostel? If so, where? Did you like it? If you haven't stayed in a hostel, would you? No and probably not, I don't think I'd enjoy it..
2. What is your favorite airport that you've been to? Why? DFW (nostalgic), SeaTac (good stores and restaurants!), etc
3. What is the best museum you have visited on vacation? London's Natural History Museum, the Scott Polar Research Institute, the HMS Victory in England, etc
4. Have you ever made friends while traveling whom you keep in touch with on a regular basis? I've made friends, but we eventually fell out of touch :(
5. Have you ever had a conversation with a seatmate on a plane? Yes..one time I saw the person at work about a week after I got back home! Alaska is a small big state :P

The weirdest thing happened..a couple days ago I tried paying with my debit card, but couldn't remember the PIN, even though I've used it for years! Jo covered for me (thanks!), but I just thought it so weird I suddenly couldn't remember! I thought I'd remember it when I went to bed or something, but no..it was like someone had deleted it from my brain! SO weird! Today I went to the bank to change it to something I definitely would remember. I'm still very weirded out by the whole thing though O_o (maybe I used all my brainpower trying to think of that one song LOL :P)

I'm sooo tired of the gloomy rainy/snowy weather Fairbanks has had for the last few months..very unusual! It's making me grumpy lol..I really want to travel somewhere, but it may not be best right now with the government shutdown stuff. I'd like to go to Powell's in Portland someday, it sounds epic :P

4. After the rain stops, do you continue what you were doing, or do you run outside to do something else? Hmm, just depends on the situation. If it's a quick storm I might continue after it's done, but if it's been going on for hours I'll get my raincoat and tough it out lol
5. What is your favorite drink/food to have when it's raining outside? Nothing specific, unless Excedrin counts LOL

I discovered it on YouTube and I LOVE it!! It's so catchy! I've usually been an elf person, but I become a dwarf person when I listen to this song LOL. It looks super fun at concerts too, basically a concert party haha. I especially like the "swing swing swing with me" line. Definitely an addictive song :P

It's scary how the universe hears my thoughts..when I've thought "ugh, I just want to stay in bed," I got covid or some other sickness. When I think "I haven't been to the doctor in a long time! Yay!," suddenly I have a reason to go. When I thought earlier in year how planes seem to be safer than cars because cars crash more, suddenly planes just started crashing everywhere. O_o A few days ago I was thinking about List Challenges, and how much time I like spending on it. It's how I discovered The Worst Journey in the World, so it's definitely a meaningful site. If the site went down or was discontinued, I'd be devastated and bored, and hoped it would never happen. LITERALLY the next day it stopped working, with an error message coming up instead. I was like.."are you kidding me?!?" That was NOT an invitation to test my theory of the day before, which was 200% accurate LOL. Other people on Facebook said the same thing, and hoped it would come back soon. I do other things online too, but I REALLY missed List Challenges..it's basically in my soul lol. I kept getting more upset when I refreshed the page and the error still showed up. Today, after three days of it being down, I was like "nope, I'm getting to the bottom of this NOW." I found the owner's phone number and called him, and he was surprised to hear it was down, because whatever system he uses didn't tell him there was an error. After a few minutes, he said he fixed it! YAY!! I should have done that three days ago haha. I told him how much I loved the site, which he was pleased by, and if it ever stopped working again, to call or text him. I've been SO happy all day because of that lol. Moral of the story: be careful what you think, the universe can hear you O_o

1. How ticklish are you? My feet are kinda, and my back is pretty sensitive, if that counts
2. When did you most recently experience physical numbness? Probably recently when my hand or foot fell asleep
3. What’s caused you recently to squirm? I was watching I, Claudius and it showed a dead cat..show me dead humans, but don't do that to me :( (I had to look away, ugh)
4. What recently caused you to gag? *shrugs*
5. Which item in your wardrobe is most uncomfortable to wear? Tight things that don't fit anymore, for one

I saw the sleep doctor this week, and they said the results from the sleep test showed some apneas, but not above normal. I told her I barely slept at all and didn't think that was an accurate representation of my regular sleep, so she's going to see if my insurance will pay for a study at the sleep center, which is probably more accurate and sophisticated. I hope they do, I'm tired of being exhausted all the time!

Next week I'm going to try working three hours three days a week now and see how I do..two hours goes by so fast and I feel like I hardly get anything done. Things are weird though..Shirley disappeared for like a month, then suddenly decided she didn't want to work at the bookstore anymore, and no one knows why..she won't answer calls. I hope nothing bad is happening to her. D: Kathy retired from volunteering because she's in her 80s and wants to spend more time with her grandkids and do projects at home (which is fair, but I still miss her lol). Denise is going to step down from being the Bookstore Manager to an assistant manager..she's completely exhausted, especially with dealing with people who never listen to her and make messes every day (when I came in on Wednesday she was sobbing while trying to clean up yet another mess). The whole atmosphere is stressing me out and just making me feel weird. I miss how things were before covid messed everything up. :( I hope things can get better with a fresh new manager who likes overseeing people, though I always worry about having to get used to a new person lol. Things must improve...

Phew, hot! It's supposed to get to 86 or 87 in the next couple days! I'm still amazed it changed this quickly. It's perfect smoothie weather too. :D The river is pretty high from the snow melting so quickly..

Someone donated fish at work..they look like a type of koi. One of them is weird and likes to lay upside down at the bottom of the tank! I thought it was dying at first but it swam around and seemed fine. It also swims upside down!! Haha wtf..weird fish is weird :P

I'm at mom's house and earlier she showed me this big mess of feathers scattered outside that she discovered yesterday. It seemed like it was a big bird..maybe a grouse or something. Abby is a good hunter, but could she overpower something that big? Maybe the other cats helped, or it could have been a fox. Weird..I guess it'll remain a mystery. :P The feathers were pretty though..

Twice in the last week I've seen a bald eagle soaring through the sky. Way cool. :D I wonder if it's the same one?

I got an email today with the BOW classes I'm taking..they're Ice Fishing, Safety in Bear Country, GPS and Bow Fishing (I think fishing with a bow and arrow?). Sweeet..I hope the weather's nice and not windy like last year haha

My phone battery is DEAD..I don't like that feeling haha. Guess I have to get a new one..

Dad and I went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch and he kept singing "aye aye aye burrito." Haha he's so weird :P

Yesterday and this morning my arm was really hurting for some reason..well cloudy weather moved in and it's been sprinkling. Coincidentally my arm feels better now. Aw man..I feel old. :P It's supposed to be rainy and cloudy all week..oh joy. Last week was so nice..

This morning I was my bike had fallen and went to pick it up..this guy came over and was like "oh your bike felled over?" (Grammar FAIL) He picked it up for me and said in an awed voice "wow you're really pretty!" I was like "nah" and he said "I'm serious! Wanna go out with me sometime?" I said I had just met him and maybe after we talked more. Nicee haha

The girls at mom's work had a Christmas party yesterday..at first mom said I wasn't invited but then she asked someone and she said I could go so I did. They were all fine with me going..mom's coworkers really like me anyway haha (plus they said as long as I was a girl I could come too :P). We had dinner at Zach's in Sophie Station (a hotel). Someone ordered this type of beer but the they didn't have it so she had the waitress list other types..one of which was Oosik something..so she was like "ok give me the Oosik" and we all started laughing haha (an oosik is a walrus penis :P). Then I asked the waitress about mixed drinks and she mentioned Sex on the Beach and asked if I wanted to try it. I was like "...suree" haha. Then the other lady asked if I like orange juice and peach and I said yes so she said the Fuzzy Navel was good too..so mom got that one. I tried Sex on the Beach and it was ok but the Fuzzy Navel was AWESOME. It was sooo good. It's made with orange juice and peach schnapps. Yumm. I don't like strong alcohol so that was like perfect. I even drank the whole glass! Haven't done that before haha. The innuendos were flying too..like "I had sex on the beach and got a fuzzy navel and had lots of oosiks!" It was soo funny haha. The food was good too. Fun times haha

This morning I was awoken by the fire alarm going off. I was like "uhh" and then grabbed Abby so we could go out but then it stopped. It lasted for at least a minute or two I think. I poked my head out the door and my neighbor did too..I told her "I guess it's ok?" and went back in. No fire trucks came either..I'm not sure what happened. Someone could have been cooking but this was at like 6:50 AM. Maybe Marjorie will know..

I've noticed that when a baby/toddler is upset and crying and they look at me they usually stop crying or at least are less upset. It happened today..I was in line at Sam's and the toddler in front of me was crying..she looked at me and immediately stopped crying and didn't start crying again. Huh..I wonder how/why I have an effect like that on them..

Movies watched this week: Titanic (hush :P), Pirates of Ghost Island (one of the single worst movies I have ever seen)

A few years ago (like 2003) I was OBSESSED with wanting to live in a place with lush green hills (like Scotland). Then I stopped caring..and then I moved to Fairbanks..which has lush green (in summer at least haha) hills almost totally surrounding the city. In fact I live ON a hill. How weird and ironic is that??

I hate nothing more than frozen animal seeds in warm milk. They taste like death. Only because the seeds don't smell like manure. Though I wish the artichokes were pink because everyone screams, "OH YEAH!!!!" Sometimes I help my cat clean her whiskers but other cats cry, "What on Jupiter is going to happen?!" Why do monkeys always drink fish's gooey blood? Probably because blood wants iron, so fish dance to polka while headbanging. This doesn't help understanding why puking flapjacks causes clouds to eat other even though they are round and shiny. Boys pick noses while kissing piggy banks and chewing toenails. Brothers hate smelly toilets that ate vomiting cow guts. Obama reads his running hedgehog's newspaper. Parties make farmers go, "BOO YEAAAH!" I should wear overalls to dance Democratically. Although crunchy soup equals badly constructed DVDs.
