Today was the worst math test yet..all on fractions. Ugh. I never feel confident with fractions, even if I know what I'm doing. So far the professor hasn't posted the test grades till after we get them back during the next class. Ahh..I don't wanna wait till Tuesday! Haha. Hopefully I'll do better than I think I did..

FAIRBANKS - A pair of minor earthquakes shook the Fairbanks area early Tuesday morning.

The first quake, with a preliminary magnitude of 2.95, was centered just off Chena Hot Springs Road, according to the Alaska Earthquake Information Center. It struck at 4:38 a.m., 5 miles north of North Pole and 9 miles east of Fort Wainwright at a depth of 8 miles.

In Two Rivers, it was felt as a single strong jolt.

The second quake came at 7:58 a.m. and registered a preliminary magnitude of 2.55, according to the AEIC. It was centered in approximately the same area as the first quake.

I think I felt it! I don't remember what time it was..but I was sitting in bed against the wall (I'm super weird and wake up randomly and decide to do a crossword haha) and I felt myself get pushed away from the wall. It was a weird sensation haha. I figured it was an earthquake and meant to check in the morning but forgot till I saw it on Facebook a few minutes ago. Interesting haha

We had our first math quiz today..I'm not very confident about it even though it's just simple stuff. Sure I understand it when we go over in it class but when I try to do it myself I'm just like huh?? Ugh..I hope I did better than I thought

There was crazy 100 MPH winds in Anchorage..I'm glad the Alaska Range blocks stuff like that from getting over here..

Yesterday we went to the festival..we met this guy named Erik who has autism and down's syndrome that's a published artist. He put his arms around me and rested his head against mine. Awwww. We got food and went to this theater to see how ice sculptures are made (mom thought it was the place where you experience -40 but that's at another place). We looked around more and went down to the river. I decided I wanted to go swimming! It was colddd so i just waded in it. This guy on the bridge yelled to me "watch out for the leeches!" Suuuure. :P There was a bunch of other people wading/swimming/boating on the river. Then we went over the bridge..it was sooo nice (the weather). We went over to the National Weather Service booth..mom told the guy there I wanted to be a meteorologist..he said you need 3-4 calculus classes, chemistry, etc! OMGGG. We looked around more and then went home

Today's Latin: itum est ad piscendum (gone fishing)

I've started to feel more accepted in school...people talk to me and all...this school year is the happiest I've been I think. I dunno why that happened but it did...maybe I've become less shy and open? No one really made fun of me anymore. I wonder how this happened haha

We're doing a project in Sociology where you cut out a person and make it look like yourself and around yourself put stuff you like...haha I'm gonna put waaaay too much on mine ;)

I gotta take the math TAKS again tomorrow *is nervous*

Today's Latin: quanti fama? (at what price fame?)

Crystal has Reye's syndrome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reye%27s_syndrome). It affects the body but not the mind...a teacher said she'll never get better from it but a site I was on said you could if caught in time or something. She can understand though cause a teacher held up two pictures of food to her and she looked at the one she wanted. I wonder what she thinks about...

Group counceling started again today! It was pretty good. Our councelor is Catholic and her church has a bell...she told me to drive over to see it (it's a little far away In Coppell)...yeah mom would really wanna drive out there just to see a church *asks anyway* haha

I had TAKS math tutoring this morning...the teacher and I got in a conversation about Robert Jordan (author of The Wheel of Time series). He's a nice person. I also found a teacher for a private tutor for math...she gave me her email address so mom can talk to her

I got my TAKS math scores back...I failed...again. I have three more chances to take it *is scared of what mom will say*

I loved gym today though...I was with Brianna. She's really nice and awesome and funny...she has to use a walker to help her walk. I HATE when people talk to the special ed kids like babies!!! I don't and they like me fine. Anyway, Brianna is so much fun! :)

I have a speech tomorrow *passes out*

Today's Latin: o tempora! o mores! (what times! what customs!)

Tomorrow I have to retake the math TAKS. A few days ago I had a dream I took the test and it was easy...I hope it'll be easy!

The music of POTC 2 is awesomeeee...it's way better than the first movie!! Hans Zimmer composed the music to the second movie...I think he did Black Hawk Down's music too. He's much better than Klaus Badelt, who did the first movie's music. I've also listened to some of Hellfire Club by Edguy...it's sooo good! The guitars in King of Fools are awesome!

One of the assistant principals asked me if I've gone to Scarborough yet. *cough* He said he's going tomorrow and I told him to see Frank

We got out of school early today. Huzzah!

I've listened to most of the new Manowar CD and it's pretty cool. I find the lyric "the gods made heavy metal and they saw that is was good" extremely amusing. Courage is sooooo beautiful!!! My Spirit Lives On has the fastest guitar solo I've ever heard! Today is a Good Day to Die is a 9 minute instrumental song but I haven't heard it yet

I have lotsa math homework *cries*

I had a dream last night someone in my class was running around the school and finding people with "ugly heads" and making fun of them and me and other people were trying to stop him...

Today's Latin: omnia mutantur, nos et mutamur in illis (all things change, and we change with them)

"Battles are fought by those with the courage to believe, they are won by those who find the heart"--"Courage," Manowar (ahhhh IT'S SO ME!!!!)

The People to People meeting yesterday was sooo long. Mom said I did good on my presentation...I think I did too *everyone gasps* On May 6 we're going on a train ride. I watched Ben-Hur yesterday...finally! I was only gonna watch half and I did but I really wanted to see the rest and there was only an hour left sooo I watched the whole thing...it was good! It kinda had the story of Jesus in it too. Judah Ben-Hur was a slave and everyone was getting water and Judah fell and said "God help me" and Jesus gave him water. Then at the crusifixion Judah was gonna help Jesus carry the cross but the soldiers kept him back and then Jesus fell and Judah almost got to Him but a soldier pushed him...into water. Judah gave Jesus water. I about cried. They never showed Jesus' face either. There weren't any epic battles but that's ok. There was a chariot race...never fall off *shudders* Definitely a good movie

I have to go to school at 11:30...I have Latin (for two hours!!) and psychology today. I think we're gonna watch Hercules in Latin (the class, not the language...but that would be awesome). Tomorrow I have the math TAKS test...and I have to pass it to graduate...I'm horrible at math...*is scared*

Today's Latin: date mihi sultis crustum etruscum (give me, if you please, the Etruscan pastry). Haha I thought that said the Etruscan party. BARBARIANS FOR EVERYONE!

"I watched the four riders raise their weapons into the air. Without warning, screaming their war cry, they led the attack, down to the battle they rode. They met the armies of the world with a mighty clash!!"--"The Warriors Prayer," Manowar

I seriously think my music player is hooked up to my brain or something. Yesterday I was thinking of a song I hadn't heard in awhile and I shuffled the songs and it was the very first song. And I was listening to a song and I predicted Descent of the Archangel would be next...and it was. That happens way too often...oh and like two days ago I was thinking of a song I hadn't heard in awhile and like two seconds later it came on...ahhh scary

Yesterday in psychology we made this goal book and mine is sooo awesome!! I made mine funny...for the two year goal I said I wanted to meet Luca Turilli and it said "obstacles that would get in the way?" and I was like "NOOO DEPRESSING!!!" We also had to draw pictures...I hope she gives it back soon cause I wanna show it to people

I'm reading the 4th book of the Wheel of Time and it's definitely becoming my favorite so far...Rand's battle cries rule! "Rally to the Stone!!" (the Stone is a fortress...great name eh?) I also really like the 11th book

And I think the math test I took yesterday killed some brain cells...

Today's Latin: vultisne saltare? (do you want to dance?)

"I am a man without a mystery, the deal is done within. I will embrace the coldest winter breeze and pay for every sin"--"Memento Mori," Kamelot
glacier_kitty: (northern lights 8)
Sleeping over at Caitlin's was fun! We watched Alexander first...she didn't really like it except for the battle of Gaugamela...she was all like "CHARGE!! FIGHT!! YEAAAH!!" We also watched Scary Movie 1 and 3 and most of Star Wars 2. We also walked to Grapevine Lake (in the dark) and has SoBe while sitting on rocks listening to the waves and the moonlight glinting on the water...it felt so good. We ate out at Chili's. We went to bed at...10! I dunno why we were so tired...I hardly slept at all cause Caitlin fell asleep in like 10 seconds and was snoring the entire night. Ah well. This morning she made me a smoothie and it was yummy. I got picked up at 11...mom and I got water then I packed for Florida...and here I am! I smell like Caitlin's house now...

My exams yesterday were SO EASY!!! I GOT A 100 ON MY US HISTORY EXAM!!!!! I got a 71 on my algebra 2 exam, 64 on Latin (meh I thought so...it was hard!) and a 64 on my TAKS one (stupid math!!). Mom said she's taking me to Mi Patio...I don't think I've ever gotten a 100 on a test...

I also heard Descent of the Archangel by Kamelot...OMG it's soooo awesome!! Luca's solo is amazing!! I definitely need the album Epica

Thursday's ER was much better than last week's...Luka was in almost every second of it! He's sooo handsome *drools* I hope he has lotsa secnes in next week's ER (my grandparents better have a TV...)

I'm leaving for Florida tomorrow and I dunno if I'll have Internet access...I'll miss you guys!

Someone named Arslan loves me...he hardly knows me...but I don't love him back...he said "You know why i love u ? because i have never seen or herd a girl as a cute as a sweet as a nice and beautiful as a you are i know i dont even know u but i love u very much and that's all. that's not easy to say i want to say you this to last long time but.......... well i have tell u truth write me back please t.c bye bye"...*blushes* What am I supposed to do??

Today's Latin: perscripto in manibus tabellariorum est (the check is in the hands of the messengers). Yesterday's: non sperabam vos domum tam cito revenire (I didn't expect you home so soon)

"Bathed in moonlight I'm proclaimed by angels cry. Think well, do take your time, because your soul will be mine the day you die"--"Descent of the Archangel," Kamelot
glacier_kitty: (Default)
I must wear more black/dark colors than I think cause I wore white today and Wendy saw and she's like "OMG you're wearing white!"...I have a lot of white shirts but I guess I don't wear them often...

Someone please save me from algebra 2...*dies*...I can't handle it anymore man...

My past Sci Fi studies teacher was writing a book on autism and how her son has it and now it's published! You can buy it on Amazon! And speaking of Amazon...I bought the Rhapsody Live CD yesterday!!!! I hope it gets here soon. Anyway, my school's library had the book and I read some of it but the bell rang and I had to go and we can't check it out yet...I hope I can finish it tomorrow...

Today's Latin: resurgam (I shall rise again). OMG that's awesome. EPIC!

"Don't you think it's time to stop the chase around the ring? Just stop running, running round the ring"--"And Then There Was Silence," Blind Guardian
glacier_kitty: (Default)
So I've been sending songs to Kathryn and listening to them with her...it's very addictive and fun! It's cool to think what she thinks of the songs and all. I'm gonna send her everything of my music since she seems to like almost all the songs I send her...right now I'm sending Blind Guardian songs and she's becoming obsessed. ;) Before she met me she didn't like metal at all...now she likes Rhapsody, Blind Guardian, Kamelot...and I send her classical songs too...

I have to get my hair trimmed later...I want more layers too...

I have an algebra test tomorrow *is scared*

luca captions...these are the funniest luca pics i've ever seen... )

"Fierce blows the wind, infinite fires on Elnor sea. Hail to the king!"--"The Wizard's Last Rhymes," Rhapsody
