I finally got my Mac Mini and new desktop screen set up!

Importing the data from my old computer took FOREVER (note to self: next time use an Ethernet cable)..I was happy when I came home from work and saw it had finished lol. I don't really NEED a screen quite that big, but mom had an extra one, so I might as well use it if she's not (cheaper than buying another one too :P). My other computer was from, like..2014 LOL, so it was definitely time for an upgrade (I have a newer laptop, but I just leave it at my parents' house)

It's been a year since I had covid and had my life turned upside-down..I hope I never have to go through that again. D: Amazingly, neither of my parents (that they know of) have had covid yet..lucky!! It does help my mood to be at work again, though I still get very tired..I hope the sleep study results come back soon..

I'm using my new computer now! It's definitely faster haha. I'm amazed that the data transfer saved the amount of times a song has been played on iTunes! Wow. Yay, new toy :D

Today the Red Green Regatta was supposed to happen, but they canceled it at the last minute since the river is so high and dangerous! Mom and I had never seen it before and had been really wanting to..we went down to the river and everything..boo. One group decided to go down anyway. After we found out it was canceled we drove to where the "boats" were staged. Too bad it was canceled, it would have been so fun to watch them go down the river! They gave prizes out anyway though, which was nice. I hope the river cooperates next year :P

After that mom and I went to see Planes: Fire and Rescue. I loved the first one so I definitely had to see the second one too haha. It was good..so cute and amusing! In one scene the plane talked to the control tower and mom was like "they forgot to give the altimeter!" LOL..what happens when a retired air traffic controller watches a plane movie :P

AT&T hasn't really been working for us (it barely worked at mom's house, dad's in Texas and his phone won't work..) so we had to switch to ACS and get new phones all over again. :/ They didn't have the same model I had before..I was pretty heartbroken since I was really liking that phone. I still got a Samsung Galaxy only this one is somewhat bigger. It's easier to read stuff on the screen anyway. At least they were able to import numbers and stuff. We went to return the other phones and that turned into a mess cause importing the numbers automatically canceled the account and dad returning the phone in Texas became complicated. Blahh *headache* ACS better work..going through this is painful!

I saw Pat's son Corbin today (he donated stuff to the bookstore). I had been wanting to talk to him..I told him how much Pat meant to me. He knew how much the bookstore meant to her and was appreciative she had us to be with her. He said Pat wanted us to have good memories of her and not be sad. I asked him what she wanted done with her ashes and he was like "oh she just wanted them dumped in the river." lol! I could see her saying that. ;) (She probably didn't want a big fuss over her) Corbin said he's gonna hang on to them for the moment haha. When he left he hugged me and said I could call him anytime if I wanted to talk. Nice :)

And now Facebook isn't letting me post comments cause apparently someone reported me for spamming. Wtf..I hope my account wasn't hacked! *changes password* Ugh this day can be over now..

That lady never called me back so I went to the camera store and got a new battery. I opened it in the store and put it in the camera..nothing. My camera was totally dead. They said I could send it in to possibly fix it but it would take like a month..might as well get a new camera. They also tried getting the pics off the card..also nothing. Turns out the card was the wrong one for the camera and I had been taking pics through the internal memory the whole time. Wtf. So I lost the pics from driving home..I'm SOO glad I put most of them on my laptop at the hotel. I think Dana has some of the same pics from driving home so I'll just steal them from her haha. So I bought a new camera with the right card this time. :P Why do my cameras break so often?? I've bought more (digital ones) in the last few years than ever haha. My other one broke last time I was at Meares Glacier. Wth Meares?? Why do you keep breaking my cameras? Haha. Mom said that glacier's bad luck..I hope not. D: Hopefully my new camera will last awhile for once..

Whoa..my dad got me (and Ryan!) an iPad! All weekend he was like "YOU NEED AN IPAD NAO!" I'm just worried it won't be used a whole lot..I have my desktop and laptop and I would really only use it when traveling in the car or something. It was nice of him though..

Today's the PERFECT summer day..in the 70s, warm, sunny, blue sky with a little puffy clouds, nice breeze, smells like lilacs..*drooools* Alaska summer air smells so amazing and fresh haha (unless there's a forest fire of course :P)

I'm having to use mom's laptop this weekend cause mine is getting repaired (the DVD slot is broken). I also brought my desktop to the Mac store earlier to upgrade the RAM. I want to put Snow Leopard on my computer but it didn't have enough RAM (that computer is from 2007 haha). Upgrading it made it faster..yay haha

A volunteer that comes in on Friday and one of mom's coworkers heard me on the radio! The volunteer was sooo excited when she told me..and mom's coworker said I was cute hehe

OMG a Chinook came and it's 34 degrees up here! It's amazingg haha

Happy new year peoples! I called technical support about the music problem..one of them said to restore my computer to original state! Yeah great and then I'd have to install everything back. Mom called later and she said to call Ruth and have Christopher try and fix my computer. Dean suggested something as well..
