Would you rather eat the chewed food out of a stranger's mouth or clean between a stranger's toes with your tongue? Grosssss..

Today's trivia: To make sure it doesn't lose its balance, a bald eagle will drop a feather from one wing if it loses one from the other

In other aviation news, JetBlue has a public-relations disaster when ten of its flights are stranded on runways for so long that they are enveloped by glaciers

In other show business news, the surprise contestant on American Idol is llama-hairstyled Sanjaya Malakar, who, with the support of millions of viewers, all apparently deaf, manages to reach the late rounds of the competition before being eliminated by a blowgun dart from Simon Cowell

I counted my CDs yesterday..I have 130 here and more in Texas. And yesterday I bought "Follow the Blind" by Blind Guardian and "Land of the Free" by Gamma Ray haha

pic of the day )

Today's stupidest quote: If you are an airman, then you believe that airpower, if used in certain ways, will achieve victory more quickly than if used in other ways (from a US Air Force ROTC presentation on the UC Berkeley website

Since I'm reading the novel Hawaii by James Mitchener I decided to get Texas by him..a lot of his books are so long haha..it must take him a long time to write them haha. I also bought "No World Order" by Gamma Ray. I tried Falconer but I didn't like the singer's voice at the time..

The teacher told us about the tools we're gonna use in technical theater (we're gonna continue on Monday). We practiced using electrical drills...OMG I'm seriously horrible at it! We also used the electric round saw...OMG that thing is scary! *values my limbs* Luckly I didn't have to go today. I really don't wanna use it..

I listened to some of the Gamma Ray CD yesterday...it's ok. I found out the movies in 15 minutes book shipped today...that took awhile haha

Friday five:
1. Do you have any pets? If so, how many, and what are their names? 3 cats named Pumpkin, Cheetah, and Snowy
2. What was your very first pet? Do you remember its name? Either a cat named Tiggy, a dog named Gretchen, or fish
3. Is there an animal you would never have as a pet? Yeah
4. What common pet have you always wanted but never had? Why not? Dunno
5. What wild animal (extinct or not) would you own if you didn't have to worry about its adjustment or the cost of captivity? A dragon (I heard they found evidence dragons existed)

My classes right now are economics, technical theater, Latin 4 and BCIS (computer thingy). Economics is gonna be sooo boring. In techical theater we get to build props and stuff (the teacher told us horror stories of when people's hair or clothes etc get stuck in power tools *shudders*) and we got a tour of the prop room, the place where you build things, the costume closet (I so wanted to wear some of the stuff that was in there haha), the control room where the lights and stuff are operated...it was so awesome. They're in like hidden hallways I didn't even know existed haha. Latin is still awesome...in BCIS the teacher said if you type with one or two fingers you'll be behind...I TYPE FAST WITH ONE FINGER! So there *grins*

Power Plant by Gamma Ray and Secret of the Runes by Therion came...sweet

Today's Latin: ad nauseum (to the point of sickness or disgust)

I bought CDs (online) yesterday...I got Power Plant by Gamma Ray, Erik the Red by Tyr, The House of Atreus, Act I by Virgin Steele, and Secret of the Runes by Therion. I heard Tyr was good from people on the HammerFall forum...I hope they're epic haha

I also bought the Movies in 15 Minutes book...OMG I can't wait to get it. In the book are parodies of movies like Braveheart, Gladiator, and LOTR. I hope they're as funny as the ones I've read online

Today's Latin: ira furor brevis est (anger is a brief madness)

"And we cry for deliverance, we hold the world in our hands, and come the dawn, the future is ours, sealed with our blood in the sand"--"Strange World," Gamma Ray

I'm in love with Frank DellaPenna *blushes*

I went to the library before school today like always and I went to go behind the counter as always and the librarian stopped me and said "I don't want you behind the counter any more. You're been writing on the callendar." No I haven't!! That's why there's a callendar specifically for students to write on! Why blame me? Other people go behind the counter too. I told Mrs. Hooker and she said she'd talk to the librarian about it and even said my parents should call her *grumbles*

I listened to all the Gamma Ray CD and it's sooo awesome!! I see why you're obsessed Heather ;)

[livejournal.com profile] treepatter is sending me Luca's new CD!!! Ahhh thank you so much!!

Man we've been watching depressing things in US history...two days ago we watched something on the assisination of JFK and today we watched about how this 14 year old black guy got beaten up horribly and murdered cause he whistled at a white lady. Yeah...don't you just love America? *cough* They showed pics of his face *shivers* It'll haunt me forever. How can people be so cruel?!

I've listened to all of the Edguy CD and it's sooo good!! The Gamma Ray CD has lotsa the songs Heather sent...from the ones I haven't heard I've listened to My Temple and Condemned to Hell...awesome songs!!

I saw United 93 yesterday...it's about what happened on 9/11, mostly through the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania...it was sooo sad! I also got Superheroes by Edguy, Majesty by Gamma Ray, and the Star Wars 3 soundtrack...I'm waiting to listen with Kathryn...I dunno when she'll be back. I miss her so much...

I got to see the rest of Awakenings yesterday...it was sad!

Exodus is my favorite episode of ER so far...Carter is sooo awesome!!! I got to see it again yesterday...there was a chemical spill and infected guys coming in and there's major chaos and Carter handles it all. At the end you can see the pride in his face when everything is fine again. This is the episode where I really started to like Carter

I'm going to Scarborough Faire later...yay!

Today's Latin: status quo (the state in which). My dad says that all the time...I KNEW IT WAS LATIN!

Today was the science TAKS...it was alright. Tomorrow is social studies which is probably gonna be so easy...

Today we got new Latin books! The front cover is awesome! And no one has written in it and the pages haven't looked like they were in a flood *hugs book* And Latin club is having that party tomorrow but I dunno if I can go yet cause Wendy hasn't told me if she can spend the night or not. Caitlin's definitely coming though...

It stormed last night...it was kinda annoying cause I wanted to sleep. Storms in Texas usually come at night

Induction is the coolest Gamma Ray song ever...it's so epic!!!

Today's Latin: non intellego (I don't understand)

"Illuminati! You've come to take control. You can take my heartbeat, but you can't break my soul. We all shall be free!"--"Induction," Gamma Ray
glacier_kitty: (Default)
I now have a Sponsored+ Account LJ account...it's new and it's like a paid account only it's not paid haha! I get 15 userpics and can now do phone posts!!! I love it!

Yesterday when I arrived at school I found Wendy and she was sooo excited to see me!! We hugged each other and she told me of her weekend with her boyfriend and I told her of mine. I also saw Caitlin and she was happy to see me too! And we all may go to Scarborough together! Caitlin's probably gonna come on Saturday...she can't sleep over. Dunno about Wendy yet...*IMs her* Man she's not at her house yet...I shall remind her when she gets home...good thing we have IM...
