Here are some pics from this weekend!


I went with mom and Ryan and Jo to check on the house to see if everything was alright and to get something we had forgotten, and said goodbye to Snowy at his grave too (I didn't want to be haunted by his spirit the rest of my life LOL). He was an amazing kitty <3

When we first got tamaracks in 2012, this is how big they were:

I will definitely miss them, their smell, how soft their needles are, how golden they look in the fall..good thing there are other tamaracks around lol

The front is not super exciting LOL, but the inside is coming along nicely..hopefully it'll be ready for pics soon!

Today's trivia: Vermont, Alaska, Hawaii, and Maine have prohibited billboards along their roadways (!!! So THAT'S why I've never seen a billboard here..wow)

It snowed overnight and it stuck..aaah. Haha. Though it's slowly melting as it gets warmer. It's supposed to snow for the next couple days though. We were spoiled by the mild weather I think haha

I've been seeing a lot more tamaracks in town since more have changed. I was so surprised going over the bridge Friday and seeing the tamaracks by the river..they were green last time I saw them haha (I thought they were spruce though). The planted ones seem yellower and fluffier than the wild ones..probably cause they have better growing conditions. We've been talking about planting one at mom's house..that would be awesome :D

Sunny and warm, in the 70s with no humidity and a light breeze. I also love storms (as long as they're not tornadic! I've had enough of those for a lifetime haha)

Speaking of weather, it's getting colddd here..though they say it may not even snow this month! I heard it snowed in Barrow though..eep

Ever since the leader at the Creamer's Field hike said there aren't really pine trees here I keep seeing them haha

Today we're gonna visit my mom's friend and see my aunt. Should be fun.

It rained earlier. I wonder if the sycamore smells good. Sycamores always smell better after it rains. *goes outside* *comes back with sycamore leaves in her hand* Well, I couldn't smell the tree, but the leaves smell sooooooo good!! That sycamore is special to me. I was reluctant to come back inside cause I was stairing up at it (it's *very* tall) and remembering. We're leaving soon. More about the sycamore tomorrow!
