I think I may have been right about math being easier since I'm more mature..I'm actually interested and having fun doing the homework..whaaat haha. Then again we're doing basic stuff. :P I like the online homework too..it'll help you if you're having trouble! That'll definitely help when we get to the harder stuff. I need to get my anxiety/depression under control before I do anything else though..English just panicked me and had to drop it. I feel like I don't belong in any career and don't see myself getting through college. I feel awkward and useless. I have an appointment with my doctor next week..I hope we can find a medicine that works..cause Paxil isn't anymore. Ughh..

Math was always my worst subject in school. Maybe it makes a difference since you're choosing to take it now, instead of being forced to in high school!

You said you don't feel like you belong in any career. Do you have any idea what you want to do? Are you taking any classes besides math? I've thought about going back to school but I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.

I know we haven't known each other through LJ long but I don't think you're useless. *hugs*

Math is wonderful. It is the basis on which everything works. What made it even more fun for me at the time (sheesh, that's over 15 years ago for me now. I am so old! ._.) were the practical examples. Do you get many of those? ^_^

I was so sure you were cut out to be a glaciologist? Either way, I know how you feel. I ended up choosing a career near the end of what we call middle school. Career-wise, it was a mistake, I should've given it more thought. But I'm not really a career hunter. Life-wise things are falling into place though, and I feel a lot better than I did ten years ago. Likewise, I'm pretty sure you'll work it out as time progresses. Just don't forget to give it some thought every once in a while. One piece of advice: Do not blindly follow in the career path of your parents.

I think it helps that you are really passionate about what you want to study - I think that's fantastic. So you are DEFINITELY not useless and I know you can do it. I think it's fine that you had to drop English if you felt like it was overwhelming. Baby steps! It can be good to take baby steps when you are working so hard towards a life goal. It's honestly probably better that way.

I think it's also awesome that you are actually ENJOYING Math! OMG!! Haha. I don't think I ever enjoyed ANY of my Math classes. :P Good for you!!

I hope you and your doctor are able to find a new med that works... That sucks that Paxil isn't doing the trick anymore. :/
