Strengths Assessment
Mar. 8th, 2022 04:43 pmAt work Heidi wanted us to do a strengths assessment test, and my top five strengths were Context, Empathy, Adaptability, Input and Positivity. Here's what Context says (I'll bold what I especially agree with):
People who are especially talented in the Context theme enjoy thinking about the past. They understand the present by researching its history. Chances are good that you periodically investigate some of the events, policies, or people whose actions contributed to worldwide wars. You might delve into materials that reveal how these global conflicts were brought to an end. It’s very likely that you really like to read about past events and the key people involved. By accumulating lots of knowledge regarding days gone by, you regularly anticipate the opportunities and pitfalls you are apt to face in the coming months, years, or decades. Because of your strengths, you create a vision of the future by unraveling what happened in the past. You strive to understand the what, when, who, where, how, and why of events. You are determined to create a framework of facts so you can put things in perspective. Instinctively, you welcome opportunities to hear historians share their thoughts, stories, or theories about prominent people. Your interest probably extends to important events. Driven by your talents, you routinely gather historical facts or artifacts — that is, pictures, tools, books, artwork, correspondence, or documents. You often wait to determine whether this information is useful. Your interest in history probably has no purpose other than to answer your own questions. You are simply intrigued by the past and its people. The future starts to take shape in your mind as soon as you begin to rummage through your collection of historic truths and objects
Wow! I love how accurate this is, especially the collecting of historical artifacts and stuff (Cherry has taken a lot of my money LOL). Heidi said she also scored the most in Context, and had never met anyone else who had. Cool!
( the other four..yay quizzes :P )
5. How far should a government go to prevent its citizens from causing harm to themselves? Umm..we should have things like building codes and stuff, at least
6. If time travel is possible, would we have met time travelers already? Who knows lol, maybe they haven't revealed themselves yet :P
7. What is something popular now that annoys you? For some reason, there are authors that don't put what people are saying in quotation marks, which drives me CRAZY. I read a book like that once and it annoyed me so much I can't read any more like that..too bad, there are books like The Road I've wanted to read but seeing no quotation marks makes me groan. I don't know what they're trying to accomplish with that, but it's not "cool" lol
8. Do you prefer fiction or non-fiction books? Why? I like both! Just depends on what I want to read at the time lol
Today's trivia: The Pokémon Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan are based on Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan
