Sam (the guy who came into class and talked about his research) emailed me back! He linked me to a couple sites..you apply for a grant once you figure out a research topic. I showed Regine (the glaciers professor) the email and said to come up with idea, apply and if I get the grant she'll help me design the project. Awesomeee. The deadline is next month though..I don't know if I can think of something that fast haha. At least I know what to do now..

The glaciers final is Thursday..I asked Regine if I could keep in contact, even just to share an interesting article, and she said of course haha. Yayy..she's really modest too. The earthquakes professor wasn't exactly..he told us of like seminars he went to. So it was a surprise to me when I found Regine's bio on the UAF site and saw she wrote/edited a ton of things, is the vice president of the International Glaciological Society and a bunch of other things. She never mentioned anything about that, just places she traveled to. I told her about that today and she laughed and turned red. Aww. One reason she's awesome..she loves what she does but isn't haughty about it (Ok..I may have a girl crush on her :P)

Becky said she can tell in my face I've lost weight. Aw yay, I'm glad my effort is showing :D
