YAY spring
Apr. 6th, 2009 07:06 pmFairbanks is meltingggg..it may have gotten to 40 today. There's melt puddles on the roads and you can even see grass in places! WHOA..the record high for today was 61 in 1997! That must have been crazy!!
I have to fill out a bunch of papers for AmeriCorps (the company that's paying me to stay with the bookstore). Becky is gonna fax it over to them or something on Thursday (their place is in Anchorage). Ooh and I learned today that fax is short for facsimile..and I learned that the Tanana River is the most unobstructed river in North America..

Ice cellar: This cold storage dug into the permafrost, if designed correctly, will keep food frozen all summer
