Today's word of the day on dictionary.com is immolate..isn't that an awesome word haha? Speaking of words..mom brought The Dictionary of Alaska Place Names home from work so I could look at it..it's out of print and really rare (she forgot to take it back today..oops :P). There are some weeeeird names in there..like Ughkooleekuk, Dunukchavuk, Oolamnagavik, Sardine Can Lake, etc. There's also a place called Rampart :D

Off to eat lunch with Nina soonish

Haha a lot of the names that have lots of K's and Q's in them are probably from the Native American language of the area. Where my bf is from (Nunavut, all the places are named weird things like Igloolik and Kugluktuk. The main national park is called Auyuittuq...which is pronounced Aye-you-took.
