2. What has been your most poignant experience with loss? Definitely losing Abby..she was amazing <3
3. Describe your first overseas trip and how you felt: That was Paris, France in the 90s. It was cool! I was obsessed with The Hunchback of Notre Dame, so my parents took me there! (They've always indulged my special interests haha.) I remember feeding pigeons, taking a boat ride on the Seine (for English, there were these "phone" things, and I remember it hurting my ear), standing in line and talking to another American at the Eiffel Tower, etc. It was fun!
4. Write down five things about your father that you always want to remember:
1. When I was a kid and obsessed with trees, he would go to Barnes and Noble before he'd go to work, and many mornings I'd wake up and find a couple new tree books on my table! I LOVED that feeling lol
2. He could build/fix pretty much anything..not sure if he still can because of his neuropathy, but he built me three bookshelves years ago!
3. How much he's always loved our pets, and his little nicknames, like "Abba-Dewey" (or just "Dewey"). He's the only person I've heard call a cat "dude" haha
4. He's so good at identifying airplanes that he'll see a tiny one in the sky and can tell me what type it is..I've always been impressed by that lol
5. He loves to joke around..I didn't understand it when I was a kid, but it's fun now! His grin is amusing :P
5. How are you feeling about this year? There are definitely crazy things going on, but I'm glad work is getting better, at least
