glacier_kittyThe other day Becky came over to me and told me I was eligible for LCA's retirement plan..or whatever it's called haha. She emailed the financial consultant person (yeah, you can see I have a lot of knowledge on this topic LOL) and today she emailed me the forms to fill out to open my account and she walked me through them on the phone. She was like "so what stocks do you want? Do you want them to be aggressive? Are you going to panic if they go down??" and I'm just like "......." LOL. She got that had no idea what to do lol and picked a "moderate" stock plan..I kept spacing out when she was talking to me about stuff since that's such an interesting subject. :P I'd just be like "..uh huh." SO I filled out all the paperwork and Becky's going to send it to her so I can open my account. Yay?? Now I feel super old LOL :P
I also feel old because Harry Potter first came out 20 years ago today. I still remember finding the first book at an airport and reading it on the plane. I also remember going swimming and reading The Goblet of Fire after and getting the pages wet haha (there was also a passage of someone trying to pronounce Hermonie's name that stood out to me too). Then mom read The Order of the Phoenix and told me I couldn't read them anymore because they were getting "too dark" and it led kids to witchcraft (what??). I'm still annoyed at her for that lol (and she *still* thinks they're bad for kids..everyone I know that's read/seen it has had a super positive experience, and sometimes even changed their lives). I tell her they're BOOKS, and a great story of friendship and courage and triumph over evil. Eventually I read the rest of them after I turned 18 lol..it still amazes me how J.K. Rowling tied everything together. I'm so glad that they were a part of my childhood <3
Someone found my geocache today, and they said someone on the balcony helped them find it. That amuses me so much haha..I wonder who lives there, so I can tell them it's cool they help people find it :P
Just when I think I really have seen all the pics of Cherry that are online, I get proven wrong yet again:
This picture is in a first edition of The Worst Journey in the World someone is selling on AbeBooks. It also has a letter from Cherry ("my autograph, for what it’s worth." OMG) and newspaper clippings and stuff. You have no idea how much I want this lol, but it's $6,000. D: D: This picture of Cherry isn't the greatest actually..the shadow on his face makes him look like Hitler. D: D:
I'm not positive, but that sure looks like his awesome smile :D <3 (this was before they left for Antarctica)
For whatever reason I never saved all the pics I found that were taken by George Bernard Shaw, so I'm fixing that LOL

Have I told you yet how much I love his profile?!? OMG *melts*

Apparently he's in this picture, but even I am having trouble finding him! He might be the guy in the white pants, but it's just too hard to tell! (What the heck are those guys on the left doing?? Haha!)
And is it just me, or does young Stephen King remind anyone else of Cherry??

Today's trivia: The letter W is the only letter in the alphabet that has three syllables

I am SO happy that Matt is taking the lead on buying a house because I AM CLUELESS. There are so many weird terms and it's just super confusing and stressful! Haha!
