Yesterday we got to the campground we're staying at near Vero Beach (thankfully nothing broke this time haha). After we got settled we went over to grandpa's friend's house and talked for awhile and had dinner at Texas Roadhouse. The music was WAY too loud, but at least the food was good :P

Today we had breakfast and met up with more of grandpa's friends (all of them are married). They had 9 motorcycles, an RV, a tractor, a boat, a fancy sports car, a model oldish car and a Model T. WTF..where does one get that kind of money from?? Haha. The lady gave me four books to read from her "extras" shelf haha (she buys her favorite books from a used bookstore to give to people haha. There are customers at my bookstore that do that too :P). I hope I have room in my suitcase for all these books haha. After visiting with them grandpa drove over to his old house (I loved that house, I was sad when he sold it). That must have felt weird to him haha. It didn't really look that familiar to me though (the only thing I recognized in the area was a treasure museum I went to haha). We also checked out the beach for about 20 seconds haha and found a couple caches. Grandpa's friend he was trying to get ahold of finally called him when he was in the bathroom..he was like "I'm in the bathroom, I'll have to call back, you'll never guess what I have in my hand! I have to put stuff away!" OMG HAHAHA. That is HILARIOUS. :P This couple we visited I swear must be superhumans. The guy (Doc) is 96 and the lady (Dolly) is 93. Doc takes no medicine at all and went skydiving on his 80th birthday. They live in an independent living facility and are in excellent health. You would NEVER guess they are in their 90s. They looked at least in their 70s or 80s. They even still drive. Dolly said she usually stays up till 12 or 1 AM!! I have never heard of an elderly person staying up that late haha! Doc is a World War 2 veteran..wow, not many of those left! It was really cool seeing them..I know people younger than them (like 60) who are in way worse health than them..wow. I bet they're gonna live to be 100. After visiting with them we went to dinner at Olive Garden..yayy! Mmm breadsticks and four cheese ziti. *drools* I feel so fat from this trip haha

Tomorrow we go back to Crystal River..good, I really need to do laundry :P

Denver (the regular book cleaner at work) had to be out for awhile cause of health issues so I offered to help clean the books. Becky really appreciated it (and she told Denver when he called and he was glad too). I was in desperate need of some fiction too (like the was literally three softcover fantasy books before I cleaned more). I didn't exactly think I enjoyed it but I did..it was pretty cool (except after awhile my back hurts). The back table has a crazy amount of books that need to be cleaned so hopefully I'll help to clear a bunch off (though I know it'll just get filled again :P)

Would you rather have everyone in the world other than you be an adult or have everyone in the world be a kid? Hm..the adult one I suppose

Today's trivia: The 1906 San Francisco earthquake was the equivalent of 12,000 Hiroshima nuclear bombs

Yesterday Brenda and her family came over (her husband was looking at our TV antenna). The kids were SO amused by the cat haha. We also went into the backyard and played tag and ran around..it was fun! I hadn't let my inner kid out in awhile. Though it wasn't necessarily easy cause half of the backyard is on a hill. :P My legs are sore now haha

I let Abby outside for the first time too..we went exploring in the woods (she had to sniff everything haha). Reminded me of when I was a kid when I went exploring in the woods and in the creek by my house (we explored practically every inch of those woods haha)

Mom got a Myspace AND a Facebook..haha woww :P

Yesterday mom and I went to the Knotty Shop cause they were doing free dogsled rides there. We went with mom's coworker Jim, his wife Brenda and their kids (Brenda's in our ski class too). I told them I was from Texas and the guy riding on the sled with us said Texas was small and half the size of Alaska. :P I was like "HEY!" haha. The ride was cool. I have pics too

OMG..this guy came in earlier and asked for my help in finding a book..I was gonna show him but he went around the corner..when he came back around I showed him. He seemed..odd. He said he didn't graduate and couldn't read so I read the titles for him. He kept bragging about how he was in the Iraq war. I asked Becky and she got him a book about the Iraq war..he looked at it and was like..whatever. Then he said he COULD read. He asked me to hug him and I did and then he wouldn't let go! Then he pulled me close to him, kissed me and said I was beautiful and put his hands on my hips and wanted me to kiss him! I got away from him and got the heck out of there! He told me "don't be shy!" Then Paulette at the front desk saw me and I was all like "*SHIVERS*" and went to tell Becky what happened. Meanwhile the guy told Paulette I was ok and left. Then they both talked to me about what happened and if I saw him again to tell Becky. Ugh I was shaking and felt defiled. I don't think he wanted to come here for books and he may not have been in the war at all. EWWW I totally washed my face and hands after that. Ughhhh..

Today's stupidest quote: overheard at Mighty Fine Donuts in Erie, Pennsyvania
Customer: Do you have any day-old donuts?
Clerk: Yes, we do!
Customer: Are they fresh?

Yesterday mom's coworker and his wife Julie came over and we had dinner (turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc). Then we played Cranium..haha if you wanna laugh play that game. Mom and I won cause of my Latin skills. :D Then we had pumpkin pie and talked some. Julie invited me to her house sometime so I could meet her dog (she has MS so she's training the dog to help her). Her dog likes to play in the snow. :P They were here for quite a while, but at least it wasn't depressing haha

Friday five:
Ear worms are those annoying little songs that get stuck in your head. Sometimes they are the last song you hear on the radio before you go into the office, sometimes they just randomly pop in.
What is a common ear worm that you get? Ones I listen to (like on itunes) that just get stuck in my head, radio ones, etc
How long do they last? Depends?
What do you do to get rid of them? They just go away on their own I guess
What is the worst ear worm you've ever had? *shrugs*
Do you get some guilty pleasure in passing the ear worm along? That doesn't happen to me

Today's stupidest quote: When asked to walk in a straight line after being pulled over on suspicion of DUI: You're going to have to give me a little longer. This is tougher when you've been drinking (Illinois woman quoted in the Bloomington, Illinois, Pantagraph)

Movies watched this week: LOTR: Return of the King

OMG last night after skiing mom and I went into this building and this guy came up to me and was like "I swear I've seen you before" and then he realized we were on the tour boat in Valdez!! His sister was there too! I met them getting boarding passes the day before the tour and they said they were from Fairbanks. They're reaaally nice and I hung out with the sister (I don't know her name! Oops) a bit on the boat. I was wondering if I'd ever see her again or meet her randomly in town and I did!! Haha we exchanged email addresses this time. Haha wowww

Work is having a party today cause it's their 30th something anniversary (we're having cake at 2 :D). Yesterday we guessed how many people would sign the guestbook and people earlier were like "OMG SIGN THE GUESTBOOK!!" haha. Also guess who is here?? I have these books from a cartoonist named Jamie (I looked at his books when I first moved here..one cartoon is a guy pointing a hairdryer at a glacier and the caption says something like "he sped up global warming by personally receding a glacier" haha). He lives in the area I do (Goldstream) and I kept looking at houses wondering which was his. Well JAMIE IS HERE!! Earlier someone said a cartoonist was here and I went to look at his work and I was like "OMG I recognize this!" I talked to him and he shook my hand :D He has a nice voice too hehe

Yesterday I was pricing books and I found a 1911 version of Phantom of the Opera!! It was signed by the previous owner in the 1920s or something in REAL ink (like quill and ink ink)! I totally bought that haha
