Some random observations recently:

The bookstore will be dead for a couple hours, then a whole bunch of people will come in like 5 minutes before closing. Sometimes they take forever checking out, and you're standing there smiling politely but inside you're like "HURRY UP I'M HUNGRY I WANT TO GO HOME!" haha

Available is NOT pronounced "a-vail-ee-a-ble," which is how dad always says it. I kept thinking it was spelled wrong (I thought it had two I's) when I saw it at restaurants. Thanks dad. :P LOL

My vision, at least in my right eye, is much worse than mom's. I went with her to her eye checkup when I was off on Friday and the assistant (??) lady said mom's vision was -3 and -4 something. She was completely shocked when I told her my right eye was -7! (She was like "already?!?") That's impressive when even people who work for eye doctors are surprised LOL (I love the reactions I get when people try on my glasses.."wow, you are blind!!" Yep :P)

I go through more watches than anyone I've ever known (after a couple or so years the band eventually breaks..I could get a new band, but it's cheaper just getting a new watch lol)

Mark Gatiss' husband (Ian Hallard) played one of the characters in The Worst Journey in the World docudrama (for some reason it took me this long to find that out LOL), and he played in an episode of Sherlock. Cool!

Mark Gatiss is amazing as Mycroft Holmes, and totally swoonworthy LOL:

Yumm. He and Sherlock are completely different from one another, and it's hilarious watching them interact with each other haha (in one episode Sherlock went to Buckingham Palace wrapped in just a bed sheet, and Mycroft was just like "seriously?!?" haha). It amuses me how he's usually carrying an umbrella with him :P (hmm, this turned into a Mark Gatiss list LOL)

OMG MARK GATISS IS ADORABLE. I watched the first episode of Sherlock and I love it! I didn't expect it to be funny lol..I couldn't stop squeeing at the scenes he was in. :D He seems like such a nice person! (That would be interesting if he was the last surviving character on Game of Thrones lol..it sounds like he'll get killed off from his "sharpening the knives" comment though..nooo. :( lol). I wish I could find the book by him I saw the other day, I want to read it!

It's supposed to be 28 degrees on Thursday! That's going to be AWESOME lol

So I get these "must look at Cherry pics" urges lol and last night I was looking on Getty Images and they had pics I've seen before, except they're in good quality AND LOOK WHAT I FOUND

Screen Shot 2017-01-19 at 10.19.27 PM
LOOK HE'S WEARING HIS GLASSES!! (I took a screenshot just of him so you can see it better.) I was seriously SO happy when I noticed that LOL, I couldn't believe it! It gives me butterflies!! Usually he took them off for pictures, but I guess he had his hands full with the pony lol. He shouldn't have felt so self-conscious wearing them, he looks great!! And then I FOUND TWO MORE

Screen Shot 2017-01-20 at 6.43.04 PM
This is probably the same day as the picture above, and I thought he had been wearing goggles, but they ARE his glasses!! This pic gives me massive butterflies lol, whoa (he's looking at meeee *melts*)

This might also have been the same day, but awwww. He looks so happy and amused watching his horse roll in the snow. <3 <3 He was so awesome <3 (I wish I knew why his glasses fascinate me lol..I am weird :P). So happy!!

Today I read Mark Gatiss (who played Cherry in The Worst Journey in the World docudrama) was in a few episodes of Game of Thrones!!! OMG I'm going to have to watch those scenes again lol. He's also in Sherlock..guess I'll have to check out that show..if Cherry the Second is in it, it must be good ;)

Today someone told me they thought I looked young, but that my eyes looked mature..ummm thanks?? Interesting compliment LOL

Jan. 20th's prompt is "your neighborhood," so I'll have to take that picture when I get back home lol

FAIRBANKS — A period of severe cold that has the potential to replicate legendary cold snaps of 1989 and 1999 is forecast next week in Fairbanks. The forecast calls for sustained temperatures below minus 40 and little relief for residents in the hills where temperatures are usually warmer.

The prediction is just beyond the National Weather Service's 7-day forecast horizon. Weather models predict a cold low-pressure air mass to move over Interior Alaska in the next 7 to 10 days.

The predicted cold snap is different from a more typical cold snap that is caused by an inversion — higher-elevation warm air that traps cold air in low-lying areas like Fairbanks and North Pole, said National Weather Service Climate and Science Services Manager Rick Thoman.

"When we have the big high pressures like we have right now, we tend to get very strong inversions. The air mass overall is not that cold," he said. "The really extreme events like the 1989, like the 1999 event, occur when we get the air mass very cold, not just on the surface but through much of the lower part of the atmosphere."

January 1989 is the cold snap that many winters are compared against, Thoman said. The temperature hit 54 below at Fairbanks International Airport and 63 below at TV station KJNP in North Pole. People in the hills who weren't accustomed to deep freezes had problems with their heating oil gelling, Thoman said.

Ughhh..can I go back to Arizona?? That sounds kinda scary D:

Today at work I found a novel Mark Gatiss wrote..wow, I didn't know he was a writer too! Cool, maybe I should read it lol (he's Cherry the Second! <3 Hehe)
