Friday five:
Did you write a list to Santa when you were little? Do you write a Christmas present wish list now? Yeah/well if they ask what I want I'll tell them..but I used to make lists like that
What are the top 10 things on your list this year? Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert..I'd like something from Dana..maybe visiting mom..
What are the three (or 1, 2, 4, 5) best presents you ever received as a child and why? Umm
What are the top 5 movies you think everyone should see and why? ..everyone has different tastes
Which comes first, success or happiness? Or, to think of it a different way, does happiness follow success or are you only successful when you acheive happiness? Are they even necessarily related? People can be successful and not happy..they could HATE what they do..but if you're successful and happy then good for you haha. But yeah..happiness could come from success. Though you may be left empty with nothing else to do..

Originally I thought for my English paper I had to have three sources..one had to be a book..then when I brought three books to class the teacher said I needed to have a online source too..I did and THEN she said "you need a fourth source cause this is a primary source and you need three secondary sources!" WHEN did she say that and WHY is she making it so complicated? Joyyy college english..

Looking at my old LJ entries gave me an idea..to review all my (metal) CDs..so first is "The Metal Opera" by Avantasia

Prelude: Umm..short? Haha
Reach Out For The Light: The chorus is catchy..who's Ernie?
Serpents In Paradise: Pretty cool song with a catchy chorus too. It also has David Defeis from Virgin Steele..his rough vocals work well
Malleus Maleficarum: Creepy..
Breaking Away: Catchy too haha..I guess Tobi wanted them stuck in your head? Haha
Farewell: Somewhat of a ballad..the girl's singing is pretty
The Glory Of Rome: Even more singers haha and another catchy chorus
In Nomine Patris: In the name of the Father..
Avantasia: This is a greaaaat song, especially the chorus..gnosis and light, AVANTASIAAAAAA
A New Dimension: Instrumental..
Inside: Not familiar with this one..
Sign Of The Cross: Rob Rock's voice in this one has an interesting sound..it's deeper or something. Tobi's singing the chorus again ;)
The Tower: Goo all the waaay to the towerrrr..great, addictive, almost 10 minutes long. Ooh so David Defeis says the last line..

Today's Latin: praestantatem (excellent)

On Saturday at 12 PM I have an interview for People to People...I hope I can answer the questions and give good reasons for them...well if Kathryn did it and passed so can I...I really really hope I pass...

I'm almost halfway through Eldest...man it's sooo good!! When will the third book come out?!

I reviwed all my (metal) CDs and shall post them here...but beware I'm not good at reviewing (I can hardly spell the word too...)

and notice the long explanations are on the rhapsody songs...*biggrin* )

"Victoria, non praeda memento mori"--"Memento Mori," Kamelot

OMG! "Symphony of Enchanted Lands 2 is SO GOOD!! It's better than "Power of the Dragonflame" and "Emerald Sword" combined!! I shall review it, then put my whole CD collection and my fave songs on the CDs behind a cut.

"The Dark Secret"-Christopher Lee is an awesome narrator! He has just the right voice for it.
"Unholy Warcry"-The 2nd best song. I love the way it's sung and the music is SO COOL! Christopher has a part in this song, too.
"Never Forgotten Heros"-Pretty cool song. I love the beginning with the opera style music
"Elgard's Green Valleys"-Instrumental. Ok song
"The Magic of the Wizard's Dream"-A slow song. It's alright
"Erian's Mystical Rhymes"-The 3rd best song. The very beginning is weird, but then it breaks out into really cool opratic music. Then Fabio starts singing and Luca plays awesomly on the guitar. This is 10 minutes of awesomeness.
"The Last Angels' Call"-Pretty cool song. Sweet guitar solo at the beginning
"Dragonland's Rivers"-Very cool song
"Sacred Power of Raging Winds"-Christopher sounds like Saruman!
"Guardiani Del Destino" (Guardians of Destiny): Oh...my...gosh! This is the best song on the CD! I cannot describe to ya the awesomeness of this song. Heavy opratic Italian singing= GREATNESS!!!
"Shadows of Death"-Awesome song
"Nightfall on the Great Mountains"-Cool song

I FINALLY GOT "RENEGADE!!" It's *so* cool! Here's a review.

"Templars of Steel"-I love the beginning! It sounds kinda weird compaired to the live version. But I still like it very much.
"Keep The Flame Burning"-Pretty cool song.
"Renegade"-Love this song! I always picture the music video when listening to it
"Living In Victory"-Great music!
"Always Will Be"-Don't care for it
"The Way of the Warrior"-OMG!! I think this ties with "The Unforgiving Blade" as the best HF song ever
"Destined For Glory"-Cool song, and the music is cool
"The Champion"-Cool song
"Raise The Hammer"-I was afraid it would be like "Lore of the Arcane" when I read it was instrumental, but it's not-it's very cool.
"A Legend Reborn"-Great song!

"Stout are the foe, in warfare so bold"--"The Way of the Warrior," HammerFall

Well, I'm back. It's really hot here compared to California. On the plane ride, the pilot would not shut up! He talked for 20 min at a time about safety. Parinoid?

And I found a music video for "Renegade!" I didn't even know HammerFall had music videos. It was very cool cause I had never seen them performing before. They looked like they were enjoying themselves. Hmmm...and I guess I'll do a review of my Rhapsody CD.

OK, the school I used to go to doesn't offer my grade (10th) anymore cause there weren't enough people so I have to go somewhere else! Now I won't be able to fence now! NOOOOOO!!!!!! But there was something funny-I was drinking SoBe cause I was depressed and my mom said I should drink 3 of those. My mom can always make me smile when I'm sad.

Well, at least I'm going to California later. Oh, and my review of "Nightfall in Middle-earth" is under the cut.

Music:"Legacy of Kings"-HammerFall

OMG King Arthur was such a good movie!! Guinivere was an *awesome* warrior and she even *led* people to battle! Dunno why everyone thinks it's so bad. Anyway, here's my review of "Legacy of Kings"

"Heeding The Call"-*Great* song!! Great battle song. Fave line-"Heeding the call, one and for all, never surrender with glory we'll fall. Brothers unite, let's stand up and fight. Fulfilling our fate, we are heeding the call!!"
"Legacy of Kings"-Great battle song too! Fave line-"The honor compells us to fight!"
"Let The Hammer Fall"-"It's getting far too late, my friend...LET THE HAMMMER FALL!" YEAH!!
"Dreamland"-WOW, this is such a nice song! (Go Joacim!) Fave line-"With the power of the steel, dreamland will reveal"
"Remember Yesterday"-SO sad!! Fave line-"On, lonely yesterday don't leave me with the sorrow, cause I have to live today"
"At The End of the Rainbow"-A nice song, too! Fave line-"Here we are, mighy, glorious at the end of the rainbow, with gold in our hands"
"Back To Back"-I love this song! Gets stuck in your head easily. Fave line-"Prepared for battle, swords were shining bright, filled with anger and harm, came to kill not to charm"
"Stronger Than All"-Awesome song! Gets stuck in your head so easily. Fave line-"Like an arrow of might...STRONGER THAN ALL!!"
"Warriors of Faith"-Not as good as the other ones. Fave line-"Onwards, victory, let us hear your battle cry"
"The Fallen One"-Also sad. Who plays the piano? Fave line-"Our love could never die, all I can do is cry"

"Renowned be the lion-hearted"--"Battlefield," Blind Guardian

Music:"Power of the Dragonflame"-Rhapsody

Now I shall do "Crimson Thunder"-HammerFall!
"Riders of the Storm"-Not as good as the other songs, but still good. Fave line "We seek our destiny in thee" (Cause it reminds me of when Amanda said "we seek our destiny in the HammerFall music!")
"Hearts on Fire"-Oh, yeah, the song my brother messed up for me? I like when Joacim says "Hearts on Fire" and Oscar echoes "*HEARTS!*" Fave line-"We hold our rebel banners up with pride. The color's crimson and the hammer is the sign!"
"On The Edge Of Honor"-WOO! Good song! Fave line-"Let's stand together, put trust in thy sword!"
"Crimson Thunder"-Very pretty song. But what *is* the crimson thunder? Fave line-"Follow the signs of the crimson thunder"
"Lore of the Arcane"-AHHHH! RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Trailblazers"-Eh, there are better songs. Fave line-"We won't surrender, no never, we will carry on"
"Dreams Come True"-This song reminds me of Viggo Mortensen. My fave line says why-"Looking down into those eyes, I know, I'll be lost and never found again. Kiss me once and I will surely melt and die, kiss me twice and will never leave your side"
"Angel of Mercy"-OK song. Kinda slow. Don't have a fave line
"The Unforgiving Blade"-LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Great* song to dance to!! Also awesome live! Fave line-"YOU"LL MEET THE UNFORGIVING BLADE!!"
"In Memoriam"-The point of this song is what?
"Hero's Return"-Amost as good as "The Unforgiving Blade!" Fave line-"Now we charge, the battle is raging!"
"Detroit Rock City"-Eh, whatever

"Renegade, renegade, this time the prowler will win"--"Renegade," HammerFall

Music:"Nightfall in Middle-earth"- Blind Guardian

I've decided to review the CDs I have. (What else is there to do?) 1st I'll "A Night At the Opera"-BG

"Precious Jerusalem"-I like the drums in this song. The song is OK. Fave line-"love will conquer the hearts of the hopeless"
"Battlefield"-My fave song *ever.* Everything about it is so great! Fave line-"through violence and horror shall honor arise"
"Under The Ice"-I love the beginning. The rest is...weird. Fave line-"Inside the fire awakes desire cruelly admired"
"Sadly Sings Destiny"-I like this song. I think It's about Jesus. ("A wooden cup and a crown of thorns") Fave line-"Now spring is in the air"
"The Maiden and the Minstrel Knight"-This is a really good song! Great lyrics too. Fave line-"will you still wait for me, will you still cry for me?" (I love the drums at that part too)
"Wait For An Answer"-I love how this is sung! Fave line-"Bitterly they will stumble find themselves smashed on the ground." (LOL, battle quotes taking over!)
"The Soulforged"-Great song! I love singing along to it and getting it stuck in my head. Fave line-"The soulforged, the stainless, will rise"
"Age of False Innocence"-OK song. I think the line "cut off the light take a look" should say look-see, LOL. Fave line-"I cannot, I will not, deny it's false innocence"
"Punishment Divine"-I really like this song too. Fave line-"Let the saints set up the courtyard"
"And Then There Was A Silence"-Great 14 minute song about the fall of Troy!! I love how the music changes intensity in parts of the song. I don't think I could pick a fave line even if I wanted to.
"Mies Del Dolor"-In Spanish. Hansi doesn't scream in this song!

"Hallowed Troy shall fall around the walls"--"And Then There Was Silence," Blind Guardian
