Today was the annual River Regatta (it used to be the Red Green Regatta, but they lost funding or something like that). It's always fun seeing what people come up with lol. Here are pics! (I'm also using these pics for today's topic, Water Sports)

On this day, 106 years ago, Cherry and his companions made it to Cape Crozier. This book made it to my house just in time for the anniversary:

Omg they filmed this at Cape Crozier..where Cherry and co. worked so hard to get to..and there's still lots of penguins there..this makes me super emotional! Wow. It's one thing to read about it, but actually SEEING it..wow. *stunned* Cherry would be pleased there are still many penguins there :) (I really hope I get to go to Antarctica someday..you have no idea how badly I want to go there lol)
