I think there's something wrong with my throat/esophagus..a lot of the time it feels tense and like there's something stuck in it..and I had another choking episode today (luckily I wasn't alone this time). I went to the doctor and he ordered this test where they put a scope down your throat to see if they can spot anything abnormal (they'll call me with the time they can do it. Luckily I'll be half-asleep when they do it). I'm rather scared to eat now..I'll have to be super careful and slow. I hope the test is sooner rather than later..this is scary!! Ugh (I hope it's not cancer D:)

Did you ever have asthma? There's a thing called eosinophilic esophagitis, which causes the esophagus to be attacked by white blood cells. The esophagus will narrow from it and make it hard to swallow and food can get stuck in there. It really seems to be on the rise in the past few years, and a lot of people who get it have had asthma in the past. It's kind of like asthma of the esophagus instead of the trachea.

Not trying to give unsolicited medical advice lol, but my ex-husband has it so I became pretty familiar with it, and learned a bit about it in EMT school. It can generally be controlled with medicine. Much less scary than cancer! Actually, my ex freaked out thinking it was cancer when he first got it too... and one thing he's learned is that stress makes the problem a lot worse (his esophagus will close up more when he's stressed out). So try not to worry about it, I'm sure you're absolutely fine. :)

I haven't, but that definitely sounds plausible anyway..my esophagus closes up more when I'm stressed out too! Thanks lol, I hope it's as simple as that :)

Eek!! That's scary, but I'm glad that it's being looked into. Hopefully it's nothing serious and they are able to figure out a solution to make your throat feel better. I'm definitely sending out positive thoughts in your direction <3

That does sound scary and uncomfortable...but I am sure it's not cancer! You're still young, after all, and while it can happen, getting cancer at our age is very unlikely.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's nothing too serious.

I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with your throat. I've had an endoscopy done (two actually), they put you under for it so you won't feel a thing. I hope they're able to do the test soon so you know what you're dealing with. *hugs*
