Mom's retirement
Jul. 31st, 2013 04:30 pmMom retired today! She didn't exactly want to, but air traffic controllers have to retire at a certain age (56) and mom didn't get another age waver. Sad..her job was so cool! I wish we could have gone to Northway again too. Mom was with the FAA 27 years! They were having a barbeque for her so dad and I went over and had lunch there. Now both my parents are retired..wow haha

Yummy cake haha

The supervisor, Earl, congratulating her and giving mom her award (very Alaskan ;))

Hehe

Well..that's something I've never seen before :P
Oops, skipped 17! A song that makes you want to dance
Hmm..maybe super upbeat ones

Would you rather be caught walking nude on a beach by a policeman or have your car horn get stuck while your car is behind a gang of Hell's Angels? The second one..I'd pull over haha
Today's trivia: In the old days civilian women were allowed to live on naval ships; many became pregnant and had their child on board, usually near the midship gun behind a canvas screen. If the father was unknown, then the male child was recorded in the ship's log as a son of a gun, which is where the phrase originated
