Church bells: They're so awesome and pretty! I was really obsessed with them when I went to Europe in 2006 and melted whenever I heard them there haha. A lot of churches in the US don't even have bells..
Moraines: Moraines are all the rocks and dirt and stuff left behind by glaciers. There's medial moraines too, when more than one glacier comes together and the moraine is in the middle of the glacier. Some glaciers, like Harvard and Barnard, have many medial moraines. They make the glacier look super epic haha. It's cool to see where a glacier once was too
Lord Nelson: One of my favorite historical figures. He was an admiral in the British Navy in the 1700s. He fought in lots of battles and lost his life at the Battle of Trafalgar. He was very inspirational and a great leader. Trafalgar Square in London has a monument dedicated to him. When I went to England in 2007 I visited his ship, HMS Victory, and saw the place where he was shot and the different parts of the ship and stuff (in a museum they had the original sails of the ship with cannon holes and stuff). I thought that was super awesome to be able to see and still effects me strongly to this day. Lord Nelson's tomb is in St. Paul's Cathedral, which I've also seen. He lived long enough to hear he won the battle, and his last words were "thank God I've done by duty." Wow!
Spain: I went to Spain in 2006, and thought it was very cool and historical and pretty. I just love Europe haha..it's so amazing!
Timpanis: They are a kind of drum..I love how epic they make songs sound!!
Uh..I don't know haha

Would you rather have others watch a video of you on the toilet or a video of you throwing a childish temper tantrum? The temper tantrum

Date: 2013-07-03 10:07 am (UTC)Thanks for writing a bit about Lord Nelson, I had of course known of him but not very much about what he did. He does sound really interesting and I love his last words.
