Vacation timee

glacier_kittySince next week is Spring Break, and mom has off from work, tomorrow we're gonna go on vacation down to Talkeetna and Anchorage. Except for visiting mom's friend Laurie and going shopping, we don't have any set plans. We don't even know how long we're gonna stay there. Spur of the moment trips seem to be the best though ;)
A Clash of Kings is the longest book I've read in a long time D: (no pun intended haha)
FAIRBANKS — The temperature hit 40 degrees in Fairbanks on Friday. That’s 40 above, not below, for those who might have forgot what that feels like.
It was the first time the temperature hit 40 degrees at Fairbanks International Airport since Oct. 10, said meteorologist Rick Thoman at the National Weather Service in Fairbanks.
While that was still eight degrees shy of the record high of 48 degrees set in 1949, it was the warmest temperature in 146 days in Alaska’s second-largest city.
The temperature hit 43 degrees at both Eielson Air Force Base and Fort Wainwright, and the warmest temperature reported around Fairbanks was 44 in College Hills.
The warm temperatures were the result of warm air being pumped into the Interior from the south, Thoman said. Periods of sunshine also helped push the temperature up, he said.
“It’s March,” Thoman said. “The inversion breaks and it gets warmer.”
The warm temperatures won’t last long, though. Cooler air is expected to start moving into the Interior today and temperatures will drop dramatically by early to mid week. Highs will drop down into the single digits and lows will be below zero, Thoman said.
“Winter is not done yet,” he said.

(ie. Creamers Field, Denali etc.)

Date: 2013-03-10 08:03 pm (UTC)I knowww, I feel like the majority of the books in the George R. R. Martin series are SO long haha. I love them though! :) I think the second book was my least favorite, but all the rest are amazing <3 (IMO.)
