Also powerful. I LOVE Joe's narration at this part..especially near the end where he talks about why they inspired him to climb. Poor Kurz!! He was so close! What a horrible way to die. What an awesome documentary

Wow that's sweet that they have a whole documentary about Eiger and what happened with these men. It's also awesome that you were able to find the whole thing on Youtube! I always thought "bivouac" was an interesting word...though I don't even know what it means off the top of my head haha.

Wow,that's an amazing documentary.
I think it might have been Swiss German what they spoke (it's actually a real language,as opposed to being a dialect :) ).
I don't really understand it though :P it's so different to regular German.
