My 9/11 story

I woke up that morning thinking it was any other day. I was in 7th grade. When I got to school my friend Kelly told me terrorists had attacked us. I was like "why don't they put them in jail then?" and she told me they were already dead. I still remember the intense concern on her face. Classrooms had the news on showing what happened but they didn't want us watching it even though we REALLY (or at least me) wanted to see what had happened. At lunch the principal talked to us and told us what happened (I remember thinking Dulles sounded a lot like Dallas). At home I watched the news more. Since they grounded the planes it was really quiet..DFW is like an airplane highway and there's always planes flying above. At school the next day I was just like "wow..it's really quiet!" i can't believe it's been nine years already..

The next year I visited NYC and saw Ground Zero..I'll post the pics mom took

I was just thinking about how it's been 9 years...next year is the 10 year anniversary. That's so crazy. I think I'm going to write about 9/11 too.

The pictures made me tear up :(
I also clearly remember where I was at that time...over here,when it happened it was around 5 pm and I was at my friends' house. We wanted to watch a soap opera but it wasn't broadcasted,instead a news special came on and we saw the pictures of the towers burning and all and I totally thought it was a movie trailer at first...until I realised it was true.
