Picking strawberries and being a pyro :P

Today we went strawberry picking at a farm. Some of the berries were huge haha. We're gonna have milkshakes with them soon. :D Then we went to a party..this lady was celebrating the Portuguese day of independence I think. Stephanie met her daughter and became friends. Their yard was really nice..lots of big old nice trees (Wisconsin in general seems to have nice houses and yards). Going to the party really reminded me of when I was a kid. She had Portuguese food..rice with duck meat, these beans, sardines (nastyyyy *gag*), shrimp, etc. They also had a tire swing and I rode on that..I hadn't done that in years! Then later there was a fire and mom was like "Heather there's a fire! People are sticking sticks in it!" I was like "OMG I HAVE to do that!!" I was OBSESSED with doing that as a kid. It was lovely haha. We sat by the fire for hours and talked to people. We talked about living in Alaska to people. It was really nice when it started to get dark and the firelight was shining on people's faces and looking into the fire was nice. It was really, really soothing and just..calm and lovely..even the talking seemed different and calm. And a train came by a couple of times and for some reason that's soothing too. Wow. Eventually we left and now were here. A lovely evening

Strawberry picking sounds like so much fun. There's a farm here in North County (in Carlsbad) that offers strawberry picking...I bet it would be cool to do. Most of that Portuguese food didn't sound all that appealing haha. Ewww. The fire and the company sounded awesome and like what makes summer nights so amazing. I also find trains to be very soothing as well. Lovely!
