Omg real Alaskans

Today my family and I had lunch at Soapy Smith's which is a big tourist place. The guy asked if we were in a rush and we said kind of cause I had to get back to work. When we went up to pay the guy announced "look! There are locals here!" haha. Nicee :P

There are already a bunch of fires and smoke in the air and it's not even June yet..eesh. This could be a bad fire season..

Duude...when we were driving back home from our afternoon route from work we saw a bunch of smoke in the hills in the distance. I don't know if it was a house fire or a brush fire, but it was kinda creepy. The bus driver was telling me his experiences with the 2007 wildfires and it sounded reallllyy crazy...eek!

Gonna be a bit anal here and correct you on this one. "Alaska Native" refers to indigenous Alaskan peoples, or lowercased, can occasionally refer to someone born & raised here, but that is uncommon at best.
