Ok..so air traffic controllers are forced out of their job (speaking to pilots at least) at age 56. When mom turns 56 she won't have all of her time (5 years) to retire properly. She's been trying to get a staff job..she bid for one here but her papers got lost on their way to Anchorage. She's been worrying that she'd have to move back to Texas or something to get a staff job down there. Then 2 days ago she was told there was a staff position available in the tower! She's hopefully gonna talk to someone there today about it (and she asked her boss to help too). It would be sweet if she got it..she's been wanting to work in the tower for YEARS..it was like her dream. And she'd get to stay here. Pray, send good vibes, etc for her to get it!

Would you rather drink a glass of really spicy mustard or eat a bag of French fries found in a sidewalk garbage can? Eat the fries..I can't handle really spicy food and at least they're in a bag

OMG!! I am DEFINITELY sending good vibes and the best of luck her way! That would be wonderful if she could get it...it certainly seems like she is more qualified to get such a job!
