Movies watched this week: Elizabeth: the Golden Age, Stardust

Cate Blanchett totally should have won best actress! That movie and her performance was GREAT. One of the best movies I've seen for awhile

Scarborough Faire opens next weekend! I invited Caitlin and Wendy to go with me..they both said they'd like to. I haven't heard anything back from they since I asked though..

Ohh! I was going to comment on the Texas definition on your survey, too, but I forgot! I found that amusing as well, since you've mentioned before how unpredictable the weather in Texas is. :P

YAY I'm glad to hear that Elizabeth: The Golden Age was good...I really want to see it. It is waiting for me on my queue, but it's probably way at the bottom haha.

Heh, that's the same thing we say about weather in Colorado. Just the other day I walked to class in near white-out blizzard conditions, and walked back in full sun and blue skies with my coat off.

Queen Elizabeth I was most likely nothing like the Queen Elizabeth I in those wretched films. Her father was Henry Tudor, or Henry VIII, who loved to serial marry and behead women. If you want a historically accurate portrayal, or at least one that comes a lot closer to how one of Henry Tudor's daughters would behave, Blackadder II is the way to go.
