At what age/s was the diagnosis made?: Elementary school..
What age did you first feel something was different?: I dunno if I felt that..
Was your child with Autism vaccinated at birth in hospital : *shrugs* ("my child" is me)
Did your child with Autism receive more vaccinations as a child?: Yeah
Did your child have any fevers or reactions to any vaccinations?: I had hives from Cechlor..
Were the parents or birth mother vaccinated?: Yeah
Did the birth mother receive any medications/vaccinations whilst pregnant?: *shrugs*
Did the birth mother receive any medications/vax whilst breast feeding?: *shrugs*
Do you believe your child regressed into Autism or was born with it?: I was born with it
Have you ever had your child tested for Heavy metals poisoning?: I don't think so?
Does your child have any "addictions" to some foods like cheese or milk?: Mmm popcorn..
Do you know what a DAN (Defeat Autism Now) Doctor is?: Someone who wants to defeat autism
Have you been told that Autism is treatable?: I've heard about it
Do you believe Autism is treatable?: People have tried and it seemed to help..
Have you tried treating your childs Autism?: Noooo
What therapy program have you used?: I've seen councelors at school..
What treatments have you tried?: None
Have you tried Diets?: No
What diet/s have you tried?:
Did you get positive results with anything?: I liked counceling
Which treatment/therapy or diet did you see the most results with?: Counceling
If your child has been tested what allergies do they have?: Uh have I been tested?
If your child has been tested what heavy metals are they most toxic to?:
Will you continue with your treatment, therapy or diet?: Hmm
Is treating Autism expensive for you?: I'm not treating it
How much $$ would you estimate you have spent so far on treatment etc?:
Is your child on the road to recovery from Autism?: I've changed but haven't recovered...ugh that sounds as if it's a disease!
What would you like to see most-when it comes to Autism and your Government?: How about ACCEPTING it?

Date: 2008-01-07 05:16 pm (UTC)1) Adults can be autistic, too. Silicon Valley is fast becoming known as the valley of the autistic.
2) The vaccine/heavy metals theory has been struck down as bogus by the scientific community more times than I care to count. Out of the world's actual experts in autism such as Simon Baron-Cohen or Anthony Attwood, these theories do not have a singular supporter.
3) I have seen an ad for a DAN-supported service in one magazine. One read of the fine print and the first, second, not to mention third word thought is "fraud".
4) This survey is the most ignorant piece of tripe I have read in a while.
Of course the parents have been vaccinated. That is why they have not died of polio, meningitis, measles, or a myriad of other things that used to kill people in droves. Do people even begin to realise what they are doing when they push fraudulent science?
