In geography today we talked about how Cortez's army of 200 defeated the Aztec empire of 100,000 people. One of the reasons was because Cortez's army had steel everything and the Aztecs didn't--swords, armor, daggers...I went SO crazy when I heard that, oh my GOSH!

I just got a great idea! This weekend I'm gonna put all the song lyrics (that I know of) that have steel in them!! Yay! (I also get to talk to Amanda on Sunday!)

Honor is the most important..wars that have no honor are just blood fests.

Steel... the way of the sword. That has honor in it. What about the way of the steel?

The sword has honour, but what about steel? If steel has no honour, then there is no honour in steel's greatest achievement... of course, that was also partially due to the use of gunpowder and the fact that the Tlaxcala allied with Cortez against the Aztecs. And Cortez used treachury. Also I think that Cuoahtemoc (or whatever his name was) recaptured Tenochitlan after Emperor Montezuma was stoned to death (by his own people)... and steel didn't stop that. Still, 'twas an awesome achievement for steel
However, where is the honour in killing hundreds of people for the gain of Spain?
