That has to the the best thing HammerFall has ever written. It's so true, and one of the things I believe strongly in doing. That's what I do, anyway. I wear what I wanna wear, and not what everyone else is wearing cause it's "cool" (more like showing things that don't need to be seen). The popular clothing brand at my school is Hollister, which I never heard of before going to that school. *Everyone* it seems wears it, and it's so annoying cause there doesn't seem like there's any variety, and I notice the "popular" people wear it. (What does that tell you?)

And don't get me started on "popular" people (let's just say I could use 3 journal entries ranting about it).

Ergh...I completely hear you on that. I never got the point of what makes styles so "cool"...I mean, who would possibly want to look just like everyone else? And why would anyone want to win friends by what they wear, as opposed to who they actually are?

Anyway...*lots of hugs* lol

People win friends by what they wear because when 2 people wearing "fashionable" clothes they can see that they have something in common - a complete lack of originality. Like all common traits, that's something you can base a friendship on.

I totally agree with you too. Especially when to get these cloths, said popular peeps are putting children in third world countries to work for something like $0.03 a day! It sucks, man! And even though it take something like $1.00 max to make a shirt, say, they sell it for a totally gouged price, thereby compounding the class problem. *waves salvation army wardrobe proudly* it's sad how cloths that are outdated and stuff can have so much more originality than this up-to-the-minute fashion.

No, it's good that you can buy really good clothes for a cheap price. What's sad is the very existence of fashion. What you wear shouldn't reflect what magazines you read, what your "friends" wear or how much money you have. It should reflect what YOU think is cool.

*takes over world, builds huge prisons for popular people and sets them slaving in all their stupid jobs that they seem to think are so cool* Without popular people, people like ME would run McDonalds! Quite excellent.
