Friday five
Mar. 26th, 2021 05:34 pm1. In what ways has pandemic life been positive for you? I don't have to worry about whether I have something in my teeth haha. It helps everyone to try to stay strong in adversity too!
2. Where (and how often) did you get your pandemic news this past year? Yahoo, the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, etc. Probably too often at the beginning, but I stopped looking at the stats every day awhile ago..I think they've gone down in Alaska though..
3. Where did you find unexpected comfort in these crazy twelve months? Hmm..it was really fun playing Mario Kart Wii during the two months work was closed..I was starting to get TOO good though haha
4. What are some little things you miss most about what used to be normal life? Going to the movies, buffets, people seeing your smile, etc
5. What do you think life will be like twelve months from now? Hopefully more "normal"!! Pandemics are tiring lol
I think I may have *finally* found a glasses prescription that'll work for me..after going back yet again today, the doctor did something that made the image go from double vision to one image. After saying that seemed better, the doctor said that was a prism correction..the prism added to glasses bends the light before traveling to your eyes, which is redirected to the right place on the retina in each eye. The brain then fuses the two images together to produce one, clear picture. That would be amazing, I'm tired of not being able to see properly! I keep my glasses in a drawer when sleeping so Abby won't knock them off, and when I woke up today I put on my old pair and didn't even notice till the optometrist pointed it out to me! I thought that was pretty funny, even though I had to drive back to my apartment to get the newer ones :P
