1. Which book has been on your shelves the longest? Where the Red Fern Grows, etc
2. What is your current read, your last read, and the book you’ll read next?
Current: The Kid Who Climbed Everest by Bear Grylls
Last: The Will to Climb: Obsession and Commitment and the Quest to Climb Annapurna--the World's Deadliest Peak by Ed Viesturs
Next: Don't know, I usually choose after I finish my current book haha
3. What book did everyone like and you hated? Of Mice and Men
4. Which book do you keep telling yourself you’ll read, but you probably won’t? Maybe books on my shelf that have been there a long time..
5. Which book are you saving for “retirement?” Um.. O_o
6. Last page: read it first or wait till the end? Wait till the end! Why even read it if you do that?
7. Acknowledgements: waste of ink and paper or interesting aside? They can be interesting..some are funny
8. Which book character would you switch places with? Hermoine? Haha
9. Do you have a book that reminds you of something specific in your life (a person, a place, a time)? Yeah
10. Name a book you acquired in some interesting way. At work I was picking out the non-fiction on the recycle shelves and came across Touching the Void by Joe Simpson. It became one of my favorite books and had a big impact on me
11. Have you ever given away a book for a special reason to a special person? I've bought books for them..
12. Which book has been with you to the most places? The Shannara series, etc
13. Any “required reading” you hated in high school that wasn’t so bad ten years later? I haven't even been out of high school 10 years..
14. What is the strangest item you’ve ever found in a book? Ooh I love this question. I've found love letters, unopened Band-Aids, toilet paper, checks, plane tickets, concert tickets, recipes, receipts from the 80s, a laminated bookmark with a glacier on it, bookmarks from bookstores all over the US, family photos, pressed flowers, etc. Another cleaner found a condom packet heh
15. Used or brand new? Both
16. Stephen King: Literary genius or opiate of the masses? I've never read any of his books
17. Have you ever seen a movie you liked better than the book? Yeah..like LOTR. I just don't like reading books in that kind of language..
18. Conversely, which book should NEVER have been introduced to celluloid? Twilight? Haha
19. Have you ever read a book that's made you hungry, cookbooks being excluded from this question? The meals in the Harry Potter books are always epic! <-- YES! I always wanted to eat their meals haha
20. Who is the person whose book advice you’ll always take? *shrugs*
