Wow..

If they hadn't opened the floodgates on the river yesterday Fairbanks would be underwater right now. It would have been worse than the flood from the 60s (and I got the impression it was bad..two of my neighbors were in that flood and that's why they moved up here in the hills). After work we went to observe the river..it's way high. There's this observation platform thing and the river is right up to it and some of it already has water (mom: "I'm standing in the river!" Haha). I think I stood on that platform during the rubber ducky race and the water was a ways below it. That is A LOT of water (and it's STILL raining!)

We picked up Brenda from the airport and went to Safeway at like 12:45 AM haha..there were people seriously shopping at that hour haha. I remember when I was a kid I didn't like her but she's cool now :P
