Scarborough Faire
May. 30th, 2006 10:48 amWell...yesterday was Scarborough's last day till next year...it's so sad!! When mom and I were driving there we saw all these buildups of storms...then we got into talking about anvils cause the top of a storm cloud looks like one...mom asked if I knew what an anvil was and I said "those things that drop on people's heads in cartoons" and mom laughed SO hard! Then we got to Scarborough and it was thundering...we were there for about 10 minutes and it started raining! While it was I got this Native American necklace for Frank. It only rained for about 10 minutes...we went and saw Motley Players Three. They were awesome as usual. Frank's 1:45 show was over by the time MP3 (haha nice abbreviation) was over...he was still out there when we got there (MP3 and Frank are on the opposite sides of the Faire). I gave him the necklace and he really liked it! He asked me how I knew he liked Native American things and I said "your last name" and he said "no, DellaPenna is Italian!" Italian?! Frank is Italian and not Native American at all! Then I said how I knew cause of his songs and the descriptions on them and he nodded and hugged me. Ah wonderful Frank hugs! :) Motley Players Three was on again soon and we walked to the opposide side again...I was getting ready to throw a balloon at them and it popped on my back! Grr! Mom thought someone threw one at me and when I told her what really happened she gave the scariest laugh I've heard from her! Then we went into a leather shop and this girl tried this green bodice on me and it was awesome and epic and so we got it. Then we went to Frank's 4:30 show and it was awesome as usual...my camera batteries died though...grr. There were TONS of people at this show! After he was done Frank made the most beautiful speech I EVER heard!! "Thanks to you my dream...has come true." After it was over we walked to the oppsite side again to get a better thing for my sword...and I saw Twigg the Fairy! Finally!! I've been wanting to see her. She's sooo charming...and soon as she saw mom and I watching she played on her flute with a mischevious smile...then she gave me this blue stone and sprinkled sparkly shiny stuff on my hand! She's so cool! We got the thing for my sword and walked aaaall the way back to Frank's. At the end he played Battle Hymn of the Republic...OMG IT'S THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I'VE EVER HEARD!!!! I almost cried! After he got a standing ovation! Frank said, "do you really want me to play another song?" and everyone yelled "yes!!" and so he played Drunken Sailor...a really short version but he was tired. I got a poster for Kathryn and he signed it. Then he hugged me and I was like burying my face into his chest haha (even though he was sweaty...mmm Frank sweat). Then he took his hands in mine and told me to have fun in Europe...man he has strong, warm hands...I didn't wanna let goooo!!! He told me to write to him and we said bye and we left. I hope I see Frank at Texas Renaissance Festival! I can't wait till Scarborough next year
