I have a project in Latin...I have to make a family tree of three generations of my family (me, my parents, their parents). I hate projects but this doesn't seem that hard...and it's Latin ;)

I have a People to People meeting Sunday...and I still have those two Italian movies to watch! Aaaah!

On Friday Latin club is getting their pics taken for the yearbook...yaaay finally

Today's Latin: congrediamur (let's take a meeting). What?!

"Hands of doom are reaching out to crush all infidels who stray. Time to know the pain, no time to run within"--"Hand of Doom," Manowar

I got lots of papers at my people to people meeting as well as a project to do which I'm confused and paranoid about and I'm kinda feeling overwhelmed

Present it? why is that so bad? Well.. true, your terribly shy. That i remember about you most, so that makes sense. oh.. and that "picture them in their underwear" dosent work. I suggest speak to them like... your one of the Elvish archers on the wall of Minas Trinth. Be loud! Show no weakness! and they will cower at the might of.. Heather the Mad Elvish Maid!! *ques dramatic music and thunder sounds* *DRAMATIC MUSIC AND THUNDER SOUNDS!*

Congrediamur . . . I would just translate as "let us meet" or "let us argue." There may be some finer point that I'm unaware of, but I don't know why they'd put in the "take" . . . or make it an object of itself . . . but deponent verbs always find a way to get me. Deponent 1st person plural present subjunctive . . . but I could be wrong . . . do you know how happy it makes me to have someone else on my friends page with Latin rants? :) < /dork >

If you ever want just a good solid laugh, find a little book called "X-treme Latin" by Henry Beard. It reaches all aspects of modern life, from bumper stickers (Filius meus puerum tuum studiosum laureatum mollem deverberare potest/My child can beat the crap out of your wimpy honor student) to trash talk (Mater tua tam obesa est ut cum Romae est, urbs habet octo colles/Your mother is so fat, when she's in town, Rome has 8 hills) to homework excuses (Praescriptis severis de aedificiorum usu decretis a decurionibus municipalibus, mihi non licet operari domi/Strict zoning codes enacted by the town board make it illegal for me to work at home). It's well worth the ten bucks and your classmates will love you forever. :)
