glacier_kittyOh that's so cool!! I love that the ship's wheel is still intact and standing strong. I remember seeing Oates's sleeping bag at the Scott Polar Research Institute..it's a small place, but PACKED with treasures. That trip to England was one of the best trips of my life, I still cherish my bus ticket to Wheathampstead lol. <3 I hope one day to go back to England and meet Cherry's nephew Hugh!
My back is still store, but I've been to the chiropractor a few times this week..he did a different adjustment today and made a place that was super achy feel SO much better! I see him again next Monday, and next Friday I'm getting an MRI done, to check for herniated discs and things like that. I also DEFINITELY needed that week off work, I came back feeling way more cheerful and less tired..I knew there was something wrong when I was so grouchy during those two sale days. I should listen to my body more lol. Lucie also said next month everyone's going to start getting more money in their paychecks for wellness and medical stuff..how nice! Medicaid pays for a lot of my medical things, but the extra money would be nice for things it doesn't cover, like dental work. Cool!
2. Your high school graduation: Here you go!
They call my name at 1:23:40. I was TERRIFIED making that walk haha, it seemed so long! I thought no one cheered for me at all, but the video proved me wrong! (I first found the video a couple years ago, so all that time I thought it was dead silent when I walked across the stage lol.) Not as many cheers as other people, but at least there were some! Interesting that the person before me was Heather too! My school had a lot of students, so it was very tedious sitting there for so long..if you go to 1:47:55, you can hear everyone scream like crazy because it was finally over haha
3. A time you won a contest: Every year Fairbanks has the Rubber Ducky Race, where they drop 8,000 ducks into the river and they "race" to the Cushman Street Bridge. The first 40 ducks get prizes, and they also randomly choose two ducks, called the "Wild Duck" (one ticket is $5 and the other is $10), and you get $500. In 2017 I only bought one ticket, and after the race, they post the winning numbers on a board outside. I got my ticket out and mom was like "did you just win $500?!" Out of thousands of ducks, they randomly picked my ONLY duck! People I knew were like "I'm so honored to be in your presence right now!" haha. It was pretty cool lol
4. What were you afraid of as a child? I was afraid of very weird things, like the handle on a chair that makes the footrest go out, the sound the pool cleaner made, stains on the bottom of the pool, and a certain place on the stairs that just felt creepy. Being autistic I didn't like loud noises either, which was annoying because dad liked taking my family to airshows. Living in Texas, I was always very scared there was going to be a tornado when it stormed..I still have nightmares about storms and tornadoes!
