A historical-fiction book: The Last Protector by Andrew Taylor (Jan 1-11)

A book written during NaNoWriMo: Forgotten Destination by Christine Antosca (Jan 12-14). I have known Christine for many years, and she finally published her first novel, yay! It was kinda repetitive, but the story was intriguing lol

A book that takes place entirely in one day: The First to Die at the End by Adam Silvera (Jan 15-21). Well, almost all of it took place in one day..close enough :P

A book that fulfills your favorite prompt from a past challenge: A book with a cat on the cover: The Cat Who Saved Books by Sōsuke Natsukawa (Jan 22-23)

A book with a queer lead: A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers (Jan 24-26)

A book you bought from an independent bookstore: A Prayer for the Crown-Shy by Becky Chambers (Jan 26-27). I'd never heard of crown shyness before (where the tops of the trees don't touch each other at all), but it's super cool!

It's like a piece of art! (Someone said the trees are social distancing LOL.) I would like to see that someday!

A book your friend recommended: Catwings by Ursula K. Le Guin (Jan 28). Sorry Denise, but I HATED this book..the mamma cat was like "you kittens have to get out of this awful alley, but I'm staying because I found a cat I love and I don't want you underfoot! Leave now!" and the male cat said after they left: "they are remarkable kittens" and the mom said "ours will be too," like she'd already forgotten them. Ew..that just ruined the book for me :/

Yesterday I went to see my new psychiatrist..only to find out they scheduled me with a counselor instead, and had to reschedule for next Monday. REALLY?!? Wow. Just wow. I had to laugh at the ridiculousness of this whole situation :P

28 – Global Community Engagement Day: Do you feel engaged with your community? How important do you think it is to feel that you belong in your community? Not so much at the moment, but it is important..it's depressing not knowing anyone and being left out!

29 – Curmudgeons' Day: What is a curmudgeon? Do you know any curmudgeons? What do you think of them? Today is also Freethinkers' Day. Do you think a curmudgeon might be just a freethinker? Someone who is pretty grumpy. Sure..I feel bad there's so much resentment in him. Hmm..maybe, in a way??

31 – Backward Day: National Backward Day is a fun day that encourages us to do things in an order that we would not usually do them in! Have you ever taken part in a backward day? How did it go? I don't think so..

February 1 – Serpent Day: How do you feel about snakes? Would you ever keep a snake as a pet? I don't mind them if they're not venomous. I wouldn't
