My day...

My day was pretty good. In chemistry we did a lab which I thought was totally pointless and reviewed stuff for out test Thursday. In Latin we took a quiz and got new vocab words...one of them was perpetuus, perpetua, perpetuum (constant). *laughs at the person who said I'll never use perpetual or any form of it* In child development we watched a movie of the stages of a baby growing in a mom's womb...at the end they actually showed the childbirth...GROSS!!! It was worse than The Miracle of Life...and we had to get a permission slip signed to watch it! Then after it was over the teacher assigned birth defects we have to research with a partner...I got autism! Yay!! I HAVE A BIRTH DEFECT! LMAO. Then in English we read more of The Scarlet Letter. And now I'm here...typing this...rocking out to Punishment Divine..."so let the saints set up the courtyard, the unpleasant cage" (what does that even mean?).

...one of the assistant principals still has my Luca Turilli CD...he's had it for over a week and he said he'd give it back the day after he listened to it...HE BETTER GIVE IT BACK OR HE'LL FACE THE WRATH OF SHINYNESS!!

My cousin married a woman who has two sons, both with autism. One has a very mild form of it, the other has a more severe form. But they're both very nice boys.

"so let the saints set up the courtyard, the unpleasant cage" (what does that even mean?)"

Back in Christ's time, one of the punishments was to let people rot away in a cage. Mainly Hansi is warning Nietsche that he will end up in that situation if he keeps talking about Christianity in the way that he did. I haven't read anything by Nietsche myself but suppositely some of the things he said were fairly scadalous for the time.

My favorite thing about The Scarlet Letter is that Hawthorne despised the Puritans. When you keep that in the back of your mind, the whole book takes on a different flavor. :)
