I feel soooo honorable...wheee!!!
Sep. 27th, 2005 05:33 pmI had to go to counceling today. I really didn't wanna go again but went anyway. We talked about how girls always find things about them they don't like and are always complaining about how they look...I said I didn't and I went into my speech about how since I was born with my traits and how I look and can't change it I accept my traits. Then I said other people were born the way they are and can't help how they look or if they have a deformity or disability, ect and I accept them for who they are no matter what. At the end of my speech one girl said "thank you!!!" After the meeting was over they kept me and they told me I probably made a big difference on that person's life and they were amazed by my words and how I feel about myself. They said I may have a gift for helping people...wow!! I wasn't gonna go back after this meeting but I definitely will now cause I wanna help people. My Latin teacher probably thought I was insane cause I couldn't stop smiling in his class. They also said I probably help more people than I realize...oh wow could that be my purpose in life??
Yay House is on tonight!! *gets out popcorn but puts it back since I still can't eat it*

Date: 2005-09-27 04:24 pm (UTC)And yeah...I hate how people do that. It's very smart (as well as comforting) to have a philosophy such as yours. And mine as well, lol. I'm glad you were able to help.

Err...I'm a little weird. I'm going to graduate school for counseling, and I found out that it's recommended for counseling students to go to counseling themselves, and I got all excited at the idea that I might get to go to counseling for the experience. Yes, I actually WANT to go to counseling. Isn't that funny? :D
Also, it's good that you made a positive difference! Not everyone can do so with one speech. :)
