Books read in May
Jun. 1st, 2019 10:53 amTwo books that share the same title: Endurance by Tim Griffiths (May 2-6) and Endurance by Frank A. Worsley (May 7-10). Apparently anything relating to Shackleton has to be called "Endurance" LOL
A book with a title that contains “salty,” “sweet,” “bitter” or “spicy”: A Bitter Rain by James D. Shipman (May 11-15). One of the only WW2 novels I've read written from the German's side. It was good, though the treatment of the Jews was hard to read (thankfully the main character in the German army didn't believe in all the "Jews are evil" propaganda)
A “cli-fi” (climate fiction) book: Antarktos Rising by Jeremy Robinson (May 16-19)
A book by an author whose first and last names start with the same letter: The Weight of Night by Christine Carbo (May 19-25). I love mystery novels with forest fires in them!
A book you think should be turned into a movie: The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers (May 25-30). THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING. I originally read it for a book set in space, but this NEEDS to be a movie!! It was such a cool, fun story! I'd been intrigued by the interesting title for a long time, and it did not disappoint. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!!
