Jingle Bells Antarctica style

I'm not sure where this bout of creativity came from, but all of a sudden I was composing alternate lyrics to Jingle Bells, Antarctica style haha. I had to write it down before it left me..they may not be the best lyrics in the world, but I think it's pretty awesome :P

Dashing through the snow
With a one-ton sledge in tow
O'er the sastrugi we go
Grunting all the way
Spoon on stove rings
Making sledgers hungry
What fun it is to stare and wonder
At the Southern Lights tonight

Cracking ice, cracking ice
Cracking from the Barrier
Oh what fun it is to ride
On a dog-driven sledge

A day or two ago
I thought I'd take the ponies over the ice
And soon, Cherry
Was standing next to me
The pony was falling in the sea
Misfortune seemed to plague him
He got onto stable ice
And then we got rescued

A day or two ago
The adventure I must recount
I went out to Cape Crozier
And into a crevasse I fell
A penguin was striding by
In a funny waddling manner
He cocked his head as there I hung
But quickly waddled away

Now the ground is white
Stick it! while you're strong
Take the sailors tonight
And sing this sledging song!
Just get an excited dog
Fifteen as his speed
Hitch him to a half-full sledge
And whoosh! He'll take you across the ice

That was really fun and I think it turned out great lol. :D The "ponies over the ice" references to when Cherry, Birdie and Crean got stuck out on an ice flow with the ponies (with killer whales circling around them!), and of course the Cape Crozier one is when they went to get the penguin eggs. Sastrugi are wavy ridges cause by the crazy Antarctic winds, and hard to walk across. Yay, random creative streak :P

Denise said we made over $600 yesterday too!! Wow. I'm glad today was slower though, we needed a break lol
