Melting at the fair

Today mom and I went to the State Fair..we had to take advantage of the sunny weather (the Fair is notorious for rain), but OMG it was HOT (81). We could only handle a couple hours before we were like NOPE and had to get out of the heat lol. I'm pretty sure I was the only adult without kids at the petting zoo haha. It closed soon after I got there (probably to give the animals a break..it was going to open back up at 5, but I knew we weren't going to stay that long), but I got to hold a couple chickens and pet some ponies hehe. :D We also ran into Bonnie and her son and sister-in-law..we hadn't seen her in a long time, so it was nice to talk to for awhile. Next Sunday I think we're going kayaking on the river with her..nice! We looked at crafts, stuffed ourselves with bad food haha (mmmm cold Dippin Dots), saw some goats and sheep (too bad Laurie's not in town, she loves visiting the goats lol), and then got out of there..it was weird for it not to be raining at the Fair haha

Aww sounds like a fun day, even though it was "hot" ...looks at you... Lol ;) I know that 81 is hot in Alaska standards. I'm glad you had a chance to go to the petting zoo, yay! That's nice that you ran into Bonnie too, and kayaking sounds like fun! :) Look at you two bringing good weather to you even to the fair hehe.
