Friday's heatwave

The temperature at Fairbanks International Airport reached 90 degrees at between 5 and 6 p.m. Friday, the first time the mercury has reached this threshold since June 26, 2013, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Ryan Metzger. It set a record high for this date, topping the former record of 87, which was set in 1957.

Friday also marked the second-earliest date Fairbanks has reached the 90-degree milestone, Metzger said. The earliest was May 28, 1947.

Wow. Both my parents were like "did we fall asleep and wake up in Texas??" Thankfully today it's in the 50s and raining, which is refreshing and much needed

That's quite hot for there. We got our asses kicked with warm weather back in 2014 because it was so humid and hot. It was enough to spur a wild fire and it was the worst summer on Sweden since they began to record temperature.

Their facial expressions are definitely chilling...especially Scott's and Birdie's.

It definitely would for me too, before I started taking medicine for migraines..it's such a relief, before I'd get a migraine for 3 days!

Yeah, Scott looks utterly defeated and Birdie looks angry..poor guys :(

OMG we're having a heat wave now here! It's been so hot, definitely no 50s/rain in our forecast either lol. It's okay though I don't mind it. I'm glad it finally cooled off for you guys!
