Dear Frankie

I saw Dear Frankie yesterday...it was so good!! And very sad. It's about this deaf boy called Frankie who writes letters to his father but they never get there cause the mom reads them and writes back. The mom left the father and kept moving around Scotland so the father wouldn't find them. Then the mom hired someone to be Frankie's father for 2 days (Gerard Butler). Then someone told the mom Frankie's real father was dying and went to go visit him. The father begged the mom to see Frankie, but she wouldn't let him cause she said he made Frankie deaf...he wasn't deaf when he was born. Then he died and Frankie somehow knew he was his real father. Everyone in this movie had extremely heavy Scottish accents so it was hard to understand them at first...well except for Gerry...I could understand him perfectly

My mom and brother were watching Shine...I wasn't watching it all but I think it was about an insane dysfunctional pianist. He could play so fast! I only watched it when he played the piano and heard operatic singing...

Actually Shine is about a piano playing child prodigy who suffers a nervous breakdown at a young age. It's an interesting movie though some parts are kind of odd.
