My dad is in Flower Mound right now visiting one of his friends named Brent (he said the town has changed a LOT, which I knew since I've seen recent pictures and videos), who still lives in the neighborhood we used to live in. Dad went with Brent and his son to an Eagle Scout thing, and called mom a few minutes ago, saying that my 5th grade science teacher (Mrs. Jordan) was there, and that she remembered me!! She was busy talking to people, but she was able to say hi to me and said I gave her a rock of something as a gift, and that she still has it! I really loved her class (the class had Guinea pigs we could take care of, and took turns taking them home on the weekend), she's always been one of my favorite teachers, and told her so, which she appreciated. I texted dad a picture of me, and she said I looked the same haha! That's amazing and has actually made me pretty emotional. He said he vaguely recognized other people there too. I'd like to go with him if he visits Brent again, though it would be VERY weird..I wonder if the sycamore trees in the neighborhood are still there?? That totally made my morning though, after 20 some years, I'm still remembered positively <3
