VALDEZ, Alaska - The state Transportation Department has closed the Richardson Highway at Thompson Pass near Valdez due to high avalanche danger, heavy snowfall and blowing and drifting snow.

Maintenance crews reported seven feet of snow falling in the last 36 hours.

Daaang..no wonder there's so many glaciers over there. Hopefully it'll make some of them grow some :D

HAHA OMG that cat! Heehee. My mom's cat Orion does that, too! Just not when the water is running so hard. He's a Bengal and Bengals are known to LOVE water. :P Maybe this cat is part Bengal, too!
