Feb. 2nd, 2024 05:35 pm1. What does it take to make your way in the world today? Technology, money, cold weather stuff, etc
2. Where do you go to take a break from all your worries? My apartment, maybe even take a nap
3. Where does everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came? (or where did everybody know your name and were always glad you came?) Work, but that might be cheating haha. It WAS Forget-Me-Not Espresso, but I haven't been back since that lady yelled at me. Now I get a croissant and a vanilla bean frappuccino at Starbucks lol
4. Which no-longer-in-business establishments are you nostalgic for, and is nostalgia generally a positive or negative emotion? Gulliver's Books, the Discovery Zone, etc. Both, it's kinda bittersweet
5. Which television shows have great opening theme songs with opening title sequences? Game of Thrones, Vikings, Cops haha, etc
It was -49 at the airport this morning, so work was indeed closed today..I think this is the first time (since I've worked there) we've had to close because of the cold. Probably the coldest cold snap I've experienced here! Here's a cool picture the National Weather Service at the university took of the ice fog:
No mountains to see today! It'll be nice when it warms up next week lol
